Hello to All,
Perhaps Father Tom's message was too long and we missed the part were
he challenged us raise the funds required to replace at least one of
the vehicles lost by the hospital in recent times. Near the bottom of
his note he pledged $1500 on behalf of Notre Dame. Then suggested
that if 23 other groups would match that pledge we should have more
than enough to replace the car stolen from Dr, LaFontant.
So I'll ask a few questions and make a suggestion. First how many
distinct groups are represented in our group? As someone pointed out
in an earlier message we don't really know who belongs to which
groups that support the hospital. Next how can we collect the funds,
if they become available? I will check with my church, Good Shepherd
in Lilburn, to see if we can funnel donations through the church. I
believe we are doing this for other causes.
So what do you think can we do this? Or is the insurance going to
replace the vehicle and we should focus on other needs. Could this be
a topic of discussion at the conference planed for June in Ann Arbor?
Mike
