Flodding and loss of life is localized to the northern part of the
island, in and around Guenieve (spelling). Dr. Lafantant visisted
with us briefly and shared some information regarding the situation
there. He is working with the health ministry to coordinate relief
efforts. We also spoke with a reporter at the hotel Montanta who was
there. It is bad! Waste deep water, many bodies, non food, fuel or
drinking water. Roads are very difficult to travel on.

Hopital Sainte Croix has not been directly effected. Weather in
Leogane and Port-Au-Prince has been very good. Will try to provide
more information when we return.
