Hello Jane, Bill,

FYI, we spend about $500 per one day mobile clinic on drugs.  With three doctors we see about 150 patients a day, providing a month supply of vitamins to each person, plus all sorts of prescriptions are written for antibiotics, anti-malarials, high blood pressure meds, anti-fungals, etc.  That money would help prevent pneumonias, strokes, heart attacks, and other infections.  It would give people relief from pain.  Figure then that a $1000 contribution would pay for the medications to treat about 300 patients.  That's one way to look at it.

Then the hospital pharmacy lacks both common and critical drugs and I don't have a figure on how far $1000 would go there, but it would be a nice starting point.

Bill, you would help a lot of people with that donation, and Jane, if you need help spending it, we'll make some recommendations!
