This is a group where those married or in a relationship with people who Hidradenitis Suppurativa can come together to vent frustrations and feelings of helplessness while our loved ones are in pain, embarassed by their disease etc.
This is the one place where we could express our feelings without guilt or feeling as if we will offend those we love.

This will be a very relaxed group with a few exceptions: No flaming will be tolerated. Whomever flames another member will be banned, no questions asked. I want this to be the one place were we could speak freely regarding our frustrations. We can share information, give each other support and allow each other to be ourselves.

In my planning I believe that this group will be restricted to members who do not have HS. My reasoning behind this is very simple. I don't want anyone to feel like they are unable to say what they want without offending someone with the disease. I want people to be free to say something like "Sometimes those abcesses look so nasty, and when they ooze it really makes me sick." If we are able to speak freely, my goal is to not only spread the word about HS but it will allow us to have a better understanding of the disease both physical and psychological.
