Re: [HPV Singles Seattle NW] Questions...Questions

Hi Vixen, You said that you have had a wart before. Did you know that a reg wart
is a strain of hpv. There is suppossedily almost 100 strains of hpv and only
about (i have heard) 15 or so strains actually causes the genital warts your ex
had. You can certainly become infected by touching a wart, but as far as fluid
secretions.... i really don't know?!!
You have to remember that ANY FUILD, including "precum", cum, or any discharge
containing dna from your bf can infact infect you if it does find a way into you
body. If he gave you oral than you may contract it, as well. There is such a
thing as "Oral HPV WARTS! They have the same symptoms as genital but inside your
mouth and throat. It is a fairly uncommon type but, i have heard that it is a
very painful kind and becoming more common. Only about 5 percent actually get
this kind. It is contracted via Oral sex. I really can not answer your fluid
question. Because as far as i know, you could have had oral sex, not swallowed
but still contracted it, or just ...."wewww i touch the cum with my finger"
kinda touch.? What kind of contact did you have??? J

We dated for two years and broke up in April. When he contacted me
at the end of May to tell me he had HPV, he at first said that he
just noticed it, then admitted he had had the warts for a few months
and just now went to the Dr. I would think that if either one of us
was a carrier, and we were together for so long, that I would have
had cellular changes in my cervix or that one of us would have had a
breakout. I've heard that even without signs of breakout, the
cellular changes still occur, and I have never had an abnormal pap.
In February, he slept with someone else, which is why we ultimately
broke up, and I'm wondering if he got it from her. They do say that
a breakout typically occurs 1 to 3 months after infection. We had
sexual contact after that, but as I recall it wasn't
actual "intercourse" in the typical sense. My Dr. says that since I
had warts on my finger as a child and they didn't return after being
removed, I may have developed antibodies to it, but I just don't
know. I was also curious, since it can be passed by oral sex, can
you also get it by just touching the ejaculate fluid? Thanks for all
your info. I'm still in shock, and scared that I might get it one
day.

carrier all along and the virus my have just been repressed until
recently. Or, mind that there may be a chance that you could be a
carrier as well and not show signs of it. There have been studies
conducted that show only 20% of Hpv carriers realize they have it.
The other 80% are oblivious untill it shows up, IF it shows up!!
You can be a carrier and never have a breakout in your lifetime.
However, you can give it to someone. I have found out that
many "professionals" don't have indepth info on HPV. Instead it is
best to gather info from other individuals whom have had it. Best to
search related chats, newsgroups, etc.. In my situation, my ex had
always had clear Pap smears and then a year into our relationship
she had a gential warts breakout. Then like 4 months after i had a
break out. There really is no way of knowing for sure who brought
it. Warts and gential warts are contagious by touch. Condoms don't
> neccessarily prevent it! That's way your parents used to say
dont touch warts. As far as you know he or you could of had it from
your first intimate encounter. Any STD can be recieved by ORAL SEX
too!!! if you have any more questions feel free to ask. J
