Hi, I just joined the group. I am 25/female- attending grad school
at Texas A&M in College Station, and was happy to see that there was
a group near me of people I have this in common with. I'm still
dealing with the shock of my diagnosis, as I just found out last
Thursday that I have HPV. Considering I have not had alot of
partners and have always used protection (condoms), I just never
thought it could happen to me. I've told those closest to me, but I
feel the need to talk about it with someone who understands first-
hand. From what I've read, HPV is really common, but no one talks
about it. I'm hoping that this group will break the silence and be
open to talking about it, because for me, talking helps. Thanks for
