Many thanks for previous Posted observations. I agree that Di Caprio
is not a very suitable figure for young Howard Hughes; nor aare many
others announced in casting roles. Cutting off the story in the mid-
l960's is is a clever way of avoiding the subsequent events, which
ought to be highlighted.

By the way - since publication of our Memorial Book, strange things
have been happening .. do you notice? Clifford Irving turned up again
after a long absence and re-released his "Autobiography of Howard
Hughes," (suppressed from being published in l97l). The Hughes
Glomar Explorer (Super Oceanogfraphic Research Ship whose existence
had been covered up and long denied BY Global Marine Corp. has been
featured in major media presentation (CBS.in about October 2001);
several "flicks" have been presented in foreign media reports; pics
purported to be of HRH have been produced and offered for sale to
HRH fans. Just today my wife purchased a page of US Postage Stamps
featuring "American Filmaking Behind the Scenes." One of the stamps
identified as being the photo of "Citizen Kane's Perry Ferguson"
would certainly appear to anyone who has studied Howard Hughes, would
immediately conclude that the photo is an authentic Howard Hughes
likeness. To all interested members, I urge you go to Post Office
and purchase this stamp page entitled AMERICAN FILM MAKIng; behind
the scenes. I intend to send a page to our friends-fellow members
in Scotland and Canada and urge members to do the same for any
interested friends of theirs living in foreign countries. Again, by
the way, my Dear Wife (from Colombia, South America) over stamp
commemorating Howard Robard Hughesa year ago requested that the US Pos
service produce a Howard R Hughes commemorative stamp. She received
no response (unless this recent postage Stamp sheet was inspired by
her letter).

Enliven our group by reporting on these things! Again, by the way -
My choice for casting roles is: Jerome Courshon as young HRH; and
our own Bianca Bourdeaux, as Kathryn Hepburn. Our movie will someday
become a Classic Reality! Count on it and work for it!
Sincerely Van
