Harlean Carpenter, Screen name Jean Harlow, born in Kansas City,
Missouri. Jean, called "Sweetheart of America" in her time, became
an outstanding movie starlet as a Howard Hughes selected replacement
starlet in his famous "Hell's Angels" Aviation Epic. Jean was
selected to replace a Scandinavian actress whose accent was
unsuiitable for newly introduced sound movies. 3-31-1911.
