Dear Van and Jeri,
Right now, I am in a family situation that will be a big period of
change for me for possibly a good amount of time.
Rather than leave you hanging, want to be upfront and say I could not
get involved at present. Later, when things are settled for me, I
could get in group again and offer proofreading/grammar/writing
services. Also, possibly get gradually involved in it.
People who would better be suited to it are persons who are retired
editors from any publishing company. From from my freelance
experience, I can tell they have to be very computer literate (some
have art computer skills). In their careers, they are under a lot of
pressure to meet tight deadlines constantly. They are used to
coordinating projects. The key, of course, is a Howard Hughes fan who
is a retired editor getting onboard.
I feel bad I cannot commit at this level, but want to let you know,
instead of just not responding.
Have a friend who is a reference librarian and has access to
databases and is researching without my even asking. If anything
relevant comes out of that, I will post to you.
Sincerely,
Elaine
