Fellow Members of this Honorable Memorial Club:
I( have just this mi9nute receiv3ed a report stating that the Replica
HR-1 Airplane has crashed, killing the Pilot James Wright. The plane
was on routine flight from Oshkosh, Wiscons to its home base at
Evergreen Airventure Museum in Oregon. It reportedly "flew at
treetop level into the riverbank of the Firehole River. at
Yellowstone National Park", after having refueled at Gillette,
Wyoming, where Wright was quoted as swaying that the airplane had
been having propeller pitch problems. It is to be recalled
that "propeller pitch" problems were the cause of the XF-ll Crash in
1946 that almost killed Howard (and may indeed have caused his
incapacitation for the rest of his life. It has also been reported
that the upcoming movie producer of "The Aviator" was negotiating
for its use in filming of the movie. I find in my own analytical
examination of this and many other events in the Saga Of Howard
Robard Hughes, that such 'coincidences' give sufficient cause for
suspicion that foul play is involved. I shall be watching events most
carefully in the future and ask that you, Howard's Friends, join
yourselves into a devoted group, to look into these matters in
whatever ways you can.
Si9ncerely, van
