This Is Not Our Mother's Menopause!
Nor is it a medical disease.
In our society, menopause and premenopause are treated as a disease rather than a normal phase of a woman's life. There seems to be a gap between research and treatment.
This board was created to help women who are looking for more information about natural alternatives to synthetic hormone replacement therapy.
For the last several years I have found myself on an emotional rollercoaster ride and dealing with many hormone issues. My body was continually changing and adding new complaints or issues one by one, and most of them were things that I would say “That’s no big deal, I will just ignore it”, or was something that I just didn’t know how to explain in a way that I thought anyone, including my doctor, would find credible and not just see me as a big complainer. The last year things really stepped up and I had brain fog and memory problems so badly that it was extremely hard to function on a day to day basis and do any of the things that I needed to do for my family or business. When you are a homeschooling mom, caring for a special needs child, and trying to run a homebased business, this isn’t good!!! Everyone deals with their own set of trials and busy life though, so I am sure that most can understand this. Last fall all of this came crashing down and I even began to wonder if I was “losing it”. After doing much research, I found out what the problem was and started using natural progesterone and now I am a changed woman and am striving to help other women who have been in my shoes. If you are facing premenopausal or menopausal challenges, whether it be natural or surgical, we welcome you with open arms.
Keep in mind, WE ARE NOT doctors, we are women who are educating ourselves about safe choices on how to treat our bodies during this time of our life.
