Michael:

Rookie central valley hikers here thinking about making the trip over for
the hike. Is the location of the meeting place easy to find ? How strenuous
is the hike ? What size group usually shows up for your hikes? Anything else
I should be asking ?

Roger, Unless you know someone I don't know, hiking Hollister is almost
impossible - I can't get permission.

I recall you did Bill McDaniel's Barranca Loop trail at MDO in Jan. 2002...

Hike Barranca Loop Great exercise, great companionship, and spectacular
ocean, mountain, and canyon views. On this vigorous hike, you will view
Montaña de Oro and Morro Bay from the Ridge and Barranca trails while
enjoying wildflowers, birds, and native vegetation. Bring water and lunch.
Wear hiking boots. Meet at Ridge Trail parking lot 2.3 miles south of park
entrance. 1,000 foot elevation change. (*H) 8 mi., 6 hr.

I encourage you or any other member to rejuvenate this Yahoo Group and call
some hikes, and invite new members.

I have managed to get up to the top of all the other Eight Morros
(Morro Rock, Black Hill, Cabrillo, Romauldo, Chumash, Bishop, San Luis,
Islay)

hikes ever planned to the lesser Morros...Cerro Romauldo or Chumash Peak? I
