In April 1995, in the early wave of the Web proliferation, an SOS email from Peking University looking for urgent medical help for a student in coma, drawed attentions from the world medical community and also the Chinese community at home and abroad. Voluntary help from doctors and students overcame medical, technical and cultural limitations and lead to coorect diagnosis and treatment that saved the girl, Zhu Ling.

However, as of today, March 6, 2002, Zhu Ling is not fully neurologically recovered yet. The suspect who poisoned her with Thallium is still at large. Her family is still under significant financial burden to bring her back to normal life.
This groups serves to coordinate people who care about Zhu Ling's recovery, financial needs and legal investigation.
Zhu Ling is saved through the help from the Internet. We believe she can fully recover and we also believe justice will be served and the suspect will be punished.
