Re: [helpsinuses] Sinus surgury or not?

Have you tried any medical management?  Most ENT's would recommend daily saline rinses that can be purchased OTC or made at home.  Also some people respond to a nasal steroid.  Usually ENT's move to surgery when medical managment fails.

I am 45 year old male, and have always had a wheezing nose for the last 5 years as my wife would call it. In the last year my symtoms have got worse;I will explain the first symtom that happened before worst conditions started. I had the spins all day in bed and vomitted each time after a spin, this lasted all day. Since then i noticed loud sensations in my ears and heavy and pressurized feelings in my ears and head. Also when i blow my nose too hard in the morning, my left side of my face below my eye and my upper lip including my upper teeth are go frozen like the dentist freezing for about an hour, then I can feel my sinus open and the freezing comes out(sounds wierd. Anyway this has happened to me at least ten times in the last year, I just don't blow my nose so hard in the morning anymore.
After all the medications and questions from my doctor, he gave up and sent me to a Nose,Throat and Ear doctor.
he checked for pollups , and allergys and I didn't have any(except seasonal)
He sent me for a brain and sinus MRIs
Brain good and sinus has a slight blockage,He can perform surgery or we can leave as is and live with it.
Any suggestions, it the surgery helpful and how many times do I need this operation?
