Hello All,

I have been having sinus pain for 3 years. I feel untolerable force near my
eyes, behind ears while I fly in plane. This pain is specific to flight only. I
don't get much pain when I am not flying. Life's been hell due to this and I
always want to avoid flight.

In last two flights, I got blood from my nose and severe pain all over face that
continued for eight days. I recently visited ENT and he diagnosed me having
'sinus barotrauma - level 2'. I am not able to understand what this means! He
asked me to do 'CT Scan P' and after reports he suggested surgery. I am in
dilemma to go for surgery.

Can you please advise if surgery works well for 'sinus barotrauma'?
Also, is there any other way of treatment if you know.
