Oh dear, well first welcome to our group. Sometimes we are quiet,
sometimes we have much to say. Sounds like you were born defective,
sinus-wise as was I. I was born without much but some of my frontal
sinuses, it was quite a shock the first time a doc. did a CAT scan.
Although it didn't bother me until my mid-adult years. Then oh me,
oh my. I've had 4 complete roto rooters, one being to ream out the
frontal sinus area which had a lot of diseased tissue. Now, I am
left with my total Right sinus area still not right. For instance,
a lot of times my Right nostril, maxillary, & R. Frontal sinus area
is freezing cold while the Left sinus side is normal temperature.
Every night unless I take night time tylenol, I wake up in sinus pain
around 3:00 a.m. like clockwork. Getting good rest is the most
important part of this whole sinus thing and it's the hardest thing to
accomplish. Which part of which sinus bone was removed? The
maxillaries, ethmoids, sphenoids, or frontals? Do you have sinus
pain? In the mean time, I'm sure you steam, do you rinse out your
sinuses?

Hello!!
My name is Shelly. I suffer from Chronic Sinusitis. I have had five sinus
surgeries. The last one I had was major. I had so many years of
infection, I needed to have part of my sinus bone removed. This was 10
years ago when I was in college. My symptoms were under control for quite
awhile. Over the last months, I have been symptomatic. My nose is
constantly stuffy and I have no sense of smell.
I look forward to meeting all the members.
