Re: [helpsinuses] Sinus Rinse Question-Which Water to Use?

Over time, with me, using tap water was stinging & burning, the same with any other kind of bottled water.  But, I have had 4 surgeries, with the 1st, tap water was okay.  Some time after that, even when I tried distilled water, it still stung & burned.  The combo of Neil-Med & distilled water barely barely works but at least I don't say a lot of swear words like when I tried anything else.  For a while, the doctor prescribed for me sterilized saline solution, like the kind they use for IV's in the hospital.  Boy, was that perfect!  It made me have SUCH a happy nose but unfortunately, it cost $20+ a bottle & with twice a day rinses, well, do the math.  I would have gone broke feeding my teledyne water pic.  So, I would say that if you can tolerate any water, distilled is probably best, hoping for less bacteria & the like.

Chance favors the prepared mind.

The preferred water to use is distilled. Distilled water has already been preboiled, from what I understand. Other water to use depends on where you live. I...
