Welcome.
I can tell you what worked for me, although you would need to
investigate it further for yourself since sinusitis seems to have
multiple causes.
In my case it was allergies, both food and environmental. I got a
homeopathic remedy made up - two drops three times a day, tasteless
and easy to use, for six weeks. I realise not everyone believes
homeopathy works, but it helped me. No flames please, like I got from
another list :-)
Detox type diet (again, this is up to you, but if you take this route,
first contact a naturopath, or dietitian). No wheat, dairy, yeast, red
meat (except lamb), sugar, caffeine, artificial additives. For a
month. Then slowly re-add other foods and test your reaction to them.
I was on a 90% version of this (ie 10% no-no foods allowed), and it
still helped. It lets you know which foods if any are causing
symptoms, so you can avoid them or eat much less.
Eat more whole foods. Nuts, seeds, fruit, vegetables (especially leafy
veg). Drink more water. Try fish oil tablets, which are a natural
anti-inflammatory, and include omega 3.
Get enough rest, sleep and exercise each day. Try some relaxation
exercises, meditation, yoga, breathing exercises.
This is all in the alternative vein, but it helped me a lot. As I say
though, get professional advice first before starting any of what I
have suggested.
