Jill,
What I can tell you is that there are a lot of people on the candida
groups dealing with sinuses because it's one of the symptoms.
I don't know if you'll need allergy testing though, because the
culprits are typical for most of us. You could start with eliminating
the most common foods that cause problems and after that if you're
still having problems, then you could consider allergy testing.
The worst offenders are sugar in any form including honey, syrup etc
even if natural (stevia is ok) as a sweetner and grains like pastas,
it seems ones with gluten are more problematic than gluten-free for
masny of us, but wheat and the more refined are worst of all.
There's more to change than this, but it's hard to do it suddenly. If
you can start by cutting theseout, while you learn more about it, that
would help. So, if you haven't already, start by not adding any more
sweeteners (except stevia) to drinks and food, skip any desserts and
treats. Replace meals like pizza, spaghetti pancakes and french toast
with protein and veggie meals, skip sandwiches and have the protein
and veg instead of the bread with it. That's a start, it takes a
little time to figure out what to eat instead when you've been used to
eating a certain way.
