I suffered with multiple sinus infections, year after year, for
decades. About five years ago, I had just completed a full course of
antibiotics, but a few days after that, I felt like I was getting
another damn sinus infection.
.
Out of desperation and frustration, I flooding my nasal passages with
DILUTED 3% Hydrogen Peroxide. It seemed to do some good, even though
it was very irritating to my sinuses, so I continued a series of
infrequent floodings over the next seven months and then basically
stopped doing it. It worked. It has now been over five years since my
last sinus infection. I seldom do sinus flooding anymore, and I never
do any type of sinus irrigation.
.
I think that the infrequent peroxide sinus floodings allowed
infection-damaged sinus areas to totally heal, by killing germs within
the sinus areas, thus keeping germs away from the damaged areas. I do
not think that flooding sinuses with a mixture of diluted 3% hydrogen
peroxide, baking soda and kosher salt kills an established infection,
but I do feel that it can treat minor sinus infections and it
certainly protects damaged nasal passages from re-infection until
damaged membranes heal. I am not a health professional. I am only
posting what worked for me.
