My husband is in his second round of 5/23 Temodar- 445mg. a day. (219lb.) The first round he had fatigue during days 6 and 7, this round he had more fatigue- days 5,6 and 7- and yesterday (day 7) he could not warm up. He is bald... and I know hair helps keep the hair in, but last night he had a knit hat on, a sweater, a coat and 2 blankets- and we live in CA so the weather outside was mild. He describes it as "his core is cold". Has anyone experienced this? Any ways to warm up? cindy wo Jim- dx 7/31/08 GBM IV

Has he had his blood counts checked lately? My mom experienced the same thing and every time she had a low red cell count. She uses an electric blanket all the time! Karen d/o Lynn dx 7/07

Dear Cindy,
Did Jim have radiation? If so, you may want them to do blood work to check his thyroid. Depending on the location of the tumor/radiation it could have been damaged the thyroid. For my son, him being cold and fatigued were symptoms of hypothyroid as the thyroid was damaged by the radiation.
