The apology sure isn't necessary Ric.  I just wanted to be sure that you understood that over 3 years after treatment raven/Robin surprised himself as much as anyone when he discovered that he could run again.  The point being that initial results likely are only the beginning of the improvement and that there likely isn't an ending date to the healing process.

I cant believe that your wife was in the Tovaxin trials, very lucky to get in. I am very familiar with the Tovaxin vaccine and have followed this treatment from the beginning, I really thought this could be the one and was also greatly disappointed with the outcome.
That was an interesting situation all the way around.  Dr Kurtzke and I became friends several years ago during the process of my trying to convince him that the infection the British troops introduced among the Faroese causing the MS "epidemic" was likely instead owed to the effect the British military presence had on the Faroese lifestyle driving away their historic "evolutionary normal" infections

In other words, the "sudden" loss of evolutionary long infections in a population would look exactly the same to us in hindsight as the introduction of a previously not existant environmental trigger/infection https://www.msu.edu/~lyonro/kurtzke1993.pdf

So far I haven't convinced Dr Kurtzke that the infection he's unsuccessfully been looking for might have instead been the loss of infections, but it was interesting to discover that the neuro in charge of the Michigan arm of the Tovaxin study was trained by Dr Kurtzke at Georgetown and that they fondly remembered each other.

I too was dissapointed with the way things turned out with Tovaxin but I'm sure we haven't seen the last of it.

Bob

Hi Bob,

I read the post rather fast and assumed your wife was also on Compath, my apologies.

Yes very amazing that there seems no limit on the time our bodies take to heal themselves, gives much hope and thanks for pointing this out!

Wow I cant believe that your wife was in the Tovaxin trials, very lucky to get in. I am very familiar with the Tovaxin vaccine and have followed this treatment from the beginning, I really thought this could be the one and was also greatly disappointed with the outcome.

I really wish you all the best in finding a treatment strategy that works for your wife, seems you do your homework and that you're very proactive.

Sounds like your wife is in good hands, keep up the great work!

Ric
