Hi Lesley, this is Suzanne and I live in Michigan , USA. I have long QT, though mine is mild, the Dr still has it documented. I have had it for many years. But I started passing out when i was pregnant with my oldest daughter (21) and just once a year or so. They dx me with "sick sinus syndrome" , gave me some meds, told me I had a mitral valve and tricuspid valve prolapse and the mild Long QT and i was on my way. Then we were in a terrible auto accident in 2002 and i had heart trauma and a closed head injury (in rehab for 2 1/2 yrs ) I started off in a wheelchair and ended up now with a walker/cane...scooter too for long distances...Anywasy...I saw Dr. Blair Grubb here in the USA /Ohio and hes a great Dr. for Neurocardiology. Hes told me that i had a small problem and the accident bumped it to a larger problem and so he then told me I had "dysautonamia" and NCS and then i passd out at physical therapy and ended up in ER and then the ICCU and then i got a pacemaker for the SSS and then in 2005 ihad a mild heart attack and ended ;up with atrial fib and am on coumadin (blood thinner) for rest of my life...then in 2006 i had a stroke even though i was on coumadin (lucky i was already on it they say!!) my residuals is language problems when i m sleepy and i get confused sometimes and i have ashort term memory problems ,also from the head injury AND the stroke...ughgggghh , i know its alot...but i deal with it and i do some things and i try to be happy....but i really just wanted you to know that I also have Long QT and its a bit scary but i deal with that too..i wouild love to be friends with you ...please write any time...hugs, suzanne
