hi all,
i have a pacemaker since feb 2003. It says i use it 50 % of the time
and the dr said i would be dead without it. I had sick sinus syndrome
first then a car accident with a closed head injury which made it much
worse and hurt my autonamic nervous system . this gave me dysautonamia, which
made me have syncope...then i had a heart attack in 2005 and after that i always
have had atrial fib and flutter. i take coumadin for life now and get lab draws
every couple of weeks and it has to be about 3.5 for me b/c i also had a stroke
in sept 2006. its been awful..but on my pacemaker check paperwork that the EPS
dr gives me to give to my cardiologist, it says over 2,000 SVT's "runs" and over
1,100
SVT's "singles"...anyone know what those mean? i know it means
supraventricular tachycardia but what about the runs and singles???
also it shows tons of pvc's and they say dont worry about those, but
they are premature ventricular contractions and i have about 500 or
more of those each time (every 2 months) also...anyone know??? thanks,
suzanne
