Hi Julie, My name is Suzanne and I live in USA and I've been a part of the STARS
family for a few years now. I am on the syncope board and then when they divided
into this one too, I joined this one b/c I have SSS. SSS means: Sick Sinus
Syndrome or otherwise known as a "brady tachy arrythmia"...I had a small problem
with it at first in 1994 or so and they put me on TENORMIN or the generic is
"Altenol" or vice versa..sorry I forget which is which now...LOL...But
anyways..I was on that for many years and it helped the fast heartbeats but not
the slow ones of course. Now I have a pacemaker and it records the high and low
beats. I have over 5 times a day where my pacemaker "saves me" b/c my HR goes
too low. IT records the high beats too and the Tenormin still helps with
that...I would be happy to talk to anyone about my SSS..I hope this helps.. your
friend, Suzanne PS...I just wanted to let you know that the brady/tachy wasnt
life threatening, not for me anyways.. :)
