Dear Jackie
I can understand how worrying SVT can be. I am the Support and Information
Manager for AA and if you would like to email me your address I will pop our SVT
booklet in the post for you. (jenni@...) With any condition, if the
symptoms change or become more regular then you must speak to your GP or go back
to the Arrhythmia Clinic you refer to.
The important thing to remember is that you are not alone!

condition. Last May I was admitted to hospital with a heart rate of 170bpm which
didn't settle after many hrs It was terminated in the hospital by valsalva,
blowing into a syringe as hard as I could to try to move the plunger. This was
very effective and I left the hospital the next morning. After a visit to the
arrhythmia clinic and an essentailly normal ecg I have been diagnosed with SVT
and AVNRT.

month they seemed to disappear after a few days but around the same time of the

part of my heart rhythm is that still true when they are so frequent?
