I am Cindy Jo, Moderator and Founder of Healinghearts (Heart to Heart Hope and Healing) an email support group for bereaved Moms. I felt a need for and a desire to begin this ministry shortly after our daughter Michelle Marie born August 24th 1984 parted when struck by a car while trying to board her school bus on November 5th 1993. Michelle was 9 years old and a fourth grader and our youngest child. Our Michelle was a cornea and organ donor. The picture of our Michelle on this Home Page was taken just two weeks before she parted.

A little history - My Ministry for Heart2Heart began in February 1995 with a snail mail newsletter and then continued online in 1998. I have created and dedicated many webpages for our departed and eternally loved children which can be found at http://michellesmama.com and this email support group which I began in 2000.

Our goal is to help one another find hope and healing as we share in our grief journeys and daily lives. I know that we usually benefit greatly from each other's support in our grief as reaching out to others also brings us comfort. Therefore it is very important to remember that we need to respect others as we grieve in our own way. There is no right or wrong way to grieve unless your grief hurts yourself or others in the process. No one needs any additional pain.

Remember too that every one of us here is on a different time table in our grief, some just days or weeks, others many years. Our personalities, beliefs and lives may be very different but we all have this bereavement in common. Since Politics and Religion are sensitive topics I ask you to temper your own belief systems and not be judgemental with others.

We are not listed in the Directory as I prefer to have a close-knit group of Ladies.
