Subject: Re: Chelation for aggressive heart disease
Yes, I've had about 50 chelation treatments. I would suggest to anyone to
think twice before trying it. There is no evidence that it works, and
though the evidence against it, is not conclusive, it certainly didn't do me
any good, that I was able to perceive. EDTA (the substance claimed to clean
out arteries) is administered, intravenously, along with a group of commonly
heard of nutrients.
What has worked for me, when I have the stamina and good sense to do it, is
very strict adherence to the best dietary practices, particularly the
consumption of large quantities of fresh, green leafy, and other vegetables;
modest amounts of fresh fruit, modest amounts of whole grain, including
brown rice, freshly made juices, modest amounts of nuts and seeds. These
food choices are the best for healing. The doctors and surgeons cannot help
you if you think you can go on "eating as you please." Weight loss is
essential, adequate bed rest, avoidance of stress, clean air, sunshine,
clean water. Daily exercise is absolutely essential, if progress is to
made.
I also had about 50 EECP treatments, which has gotten more respect from the
orthodox doctors, than has chelation. But, it also did me little or no
good.
Your experiences with chelation and EECP (Ehanced External CounterPulsation)
may be more positive than mine. Some people claim to benefit from these
procedures.
If arteries continue to re-stenose (re-clog), diet is almost certainly
responsible.
My heart disease is as bad or as good as my diet. When I eat carefully, my
sypmtons decline. When I eat badly I suffer severe chest pain, when doing
easy exercises. Obesity is deadly. Lack of exercise is suicidal.
We all have different viewpoints on these deadly diseases of the heart and
cardio-vascular systems. The notions expressed here, are my views. They're
all I have to offer, besides wishing you the best of luck

Subject: [heartattack] Chelation for aggressive heart disease
Does anyone have personal experience with chelation for blocked
arteries? My husband had open heart surgery almost 9 months ago with
5 by-passes and the by-passes blocked up 80 to 90% in only 7 months
after the surgery. They then used balloon angioplasty to open the
main arteries but could do nothing about 2 new brach blockages that
are 90% blocked. He is going to try chelation. It would be so
helpful if anyone has tried this and can share his or her
experience. Hopefully positive. Just discovered this site today and
do not really know how to use it but will try anyway.
