Cleanliness Is Next to Godliness? You Meant Me?

You've heard the expression, "Cleanliness is next to Godliness." Were
you told as a child that it had something to do with the state of your
bedroom or possibly the mess you left in the bathroom? In all
seriousness, have you ever thought that it might have something to do
with the state of your body?

You may have heard that fasting is a way to deeply cleanse your body.
I'm sure you've also heard that Jesus, Buddha, and many other
spiritual greats undertook prolonged fasts before starting to share
their teachings. But did you ever put the two of these together?

Did you ever wonder if these great spiritual men might have been
cleansing their bodies internally to obtain or enhance their spiritual
connection? And if that was the case, does it mean that somehow
accumulated toxicity in the body gets in the way of our spiritual
connection? Actually, I believe it does.

Have you realized that Adam and Eve's fall from grace was directly
related to the foods they were eating? They were told not to eat that
apple - and they ate it anyway. It's a literal interpretation, but in
a society where almost "anything goes" in our food supply it's barely
recognized or for that matter, understood.

If there is truth in the story, what do you think the possible
consequences are of putting food coloring, pesticides, preservatives,
genetically modified foods, a general abundance of chemicals, and
anti-freeze in our bodies? Did you know that the primary ingredient in
anti-freeze is regularly found in personal care products and in many
"snack" foods you find in convenience stores.

So, if two thousand years ago, Jesus felt the need to cleanse his
internal body deeply by doing an forty day fast, what does that say
about the average person's body today?

Two thousand years ago, pesticides and herbicides weren't in our
foods, soil, and water. Two thousand years ago, genetically modified
foods and ingredients didn't exist and they weren't hidden in the
majority of the processed foods available. Come to think of it, two
thousand years ago, there were likely few processed foods around - and
certainly nothing like the highly chemical ones that line our shelves
today. Yet, two thousand years ago, Jesus still felt the need to do a
prolonged and deep cleanse.

Truthfully, I'm guessing that the most toxic man around in Jesus'
time, would be one of the cleanest around today. Unfortunately today,
even newborns are born with many toxic chemicals in their bloodstream.
And if by some miracle they were not, before they spend their first
night at home, we regularly give them an injection of the neurotoxin
mercury in a vaccine.

Fortunately, deep cleansing, which often includes fasting, is a way to
remove a great deal of stored toxicity from our bodies.

Colon cleansing and liver cleansing help physically remove a great
deal of waste from our bodies and are both extremely powerful.
Actually, with the state of the average person's body today, I think
both colon cleansing and liver cleansing are essential for health - as
well as spiritual reasons. When you see how much comes out of you with
these methods (and you will see it), you might be surprised. And might
have to cleanse deeply for yourself to really understand how much
toxicity the average person carries these days. However, when you see
it, it becomes very hard to deny.
