Greetings.

I like to share with you my latest coaching experience and learning,
especially on the application of "Highest Priority Intention" which I
attended the training in early June in Taipei, conducted by Ms Shu-Fang
Wang. She was trained by Andrew Hahn, Psy.D. who invented this human
technology.

(This is also my response to many friends who are curious about the
training program I attended. I will share part of my learning in the
context of coaching).

Highest Priority Intention or HPI

HPI is the first most important step to be applied with the client / coachee.

HPI - Intentions can be
- To improve business result, health, financial income, leadership
quality, motivation, self confidence etc etc.

Interestingly it may take one or more sessions to do just on Highest
Priority Intention.

Unlike typical coaching like GROW model or Solution Focus etc. whereby the
client states his or her goals and coaching follow.

HPI treatment is more than clarifying but more importantly to consider
many aspects, e.g.

- Mental, Emotional, Psychological blockages
- Limiting beliefs
- Internal sabotages
- etc.

that undermine the Intention or implementation of the intention HPI.

the stated HPI (intention, goals) as articulated by the client are read to
him or her several times for his or her adjustment, modification,
correction, changes ..... the coach trusts the total intelligence of the
client and accept what comes out, without the coach's opinion or ideas.

In clearing the many negatives ( Mental, Emotional, Psychological
blockages ... etc.) it can happen the client can get into self-denial,
surprise or even anger and such negative emotions e.g. anger can be
"thrown" at the coach. The coach must have the maturity and calmness and
not react and feel defensive.

By clearing the negatives around and underneath the stated HPI, the
Intention becomes clear and pure, that itself acts as LOA - Law of
Attraction, getting what one wants as per the intention.

Traditional coaching without HPI usually result in clients not doing the
follow up - e.g. not implementing what the clients promised in the early
coaching session, this results in more will power application, more
coaching sessions, which often can be futile.

It is the negatives that need to be dissolved, not will power alone to be
strengthened.
