I feel terribly sorry for the loss that has been caused by the
biggest
catastrophe of tsunami in history. I am utterly lost for words to
offer for the deceased and their family. I just pray to god that
their
souls shall rest in peace.
Just today, WHO has released a warning for the possible emergence of
epidemics. It has reported that at the moment, the hygiene has
dramatically worsened, and the epidemic such as cholera could spur in
any minute. If so, as many people could die from infectious diseases
as were killed by the tsunami.
As a Hado (vibration) researcher, I am truly worried about this
disaster. As well as the hygiene issue, I feel that the "vibrational
fields" of the countries have extremely deteriorated. The "field"
is created by feelings of fear, grief, worry, lack of trust, anger,
loneliness, and helplessness, and could energize the malevolent
microorganisms that prefer this kind of environment.
People cannot help but have these feelings, and they probably carry
the feelings with them. Many people feel this way, and there seems to
be some plundering going on, but their feeling of anger and hostility
can only multiply the negativity of the "field". Also, we must take
into account the emergence of a new epidemic.
We have to limit the negative "field" in any way possible. I believe
that there is already a spreading Hado (vibration) of fear due to the
terrorist attack and bombing, and it is like a gasoline station with
an oil leak that is about to explode.
What can we do? The only way is for people from all over the world to
pray for the recovery of the affected area. The prayer will
definitely carry far with the purity of its Hado. Therefore, from
today, let's close our eyes for a few second before our meal and
send words of prayer to the countries. Let's send a prayer for them
before we go to sleep. Also, when we pray during the end of year and
the new year ceremony, let us send a prayer first and foremost for
world peace.

Fat cells weigh in with more bad news

If fat cells, those glistening globules packed into our ever-swelling
buttocks and bellies, would only spend their days in idle repose
like
good
couch potatoes, they wouldn't be such a worry.
But it's turning out that those blobs of blubber are industrious.
That's not
to say they burn a lot of calories. They don't. What researchers are
discovering is that fat cells are busy manufacturing and secreting
all
manner of hormones and other chemicals that seem to fuel chronic
ailments
such as heart disease and hypertension.
"The hormonal story is fascinating because there are so many things
that fat
cells make that could be impacting our health," said Michael Jensen,
a
professor of medicine at the Mayo College of Medicine in Rochester,
Minn.
Indeed, many people in the booming field of fat-cell research now
think
of
fat as an endocrine tissue, much like adrenal glands and ovaries.
For years it has been known that fat tissue, along with the ovaries,
produces the female hormone estrogen. But that's just the start.
About
10
years ago, the science of fat went slip-sliding into a new paradigm
when a
researcher discovered that fat cells make leptin, a hormone closely
tied
with appetite and the growth of fat tissue. Many more compounds — 25
or
30,
according to one researcher — have been added to the list since then.
Two that have been getting attention in medical research circles are
adiponectin and resistin. Resistin is thought to impair the body's
ability
to use insulin, the hormone that helps the body keep a fairly
constant
blood
sugar level. As people get fatter, they tend to have higher levels of
resistin. The other one is adiponectin, which appears to have the
opposite
effect, making it a "good" hormone. Naturally, people with more fat
tend to
have less adiponectin.
In addition, fat cells churn out a whole array of cytokines, which
are
compounds that encourage cells to grow and that are associated with
inflammation. Inflammation of the blood vessels is now thought to be
the
cause of many heart attacks, and some experts suspect that
inflammation
is a
factor in the development of diabetes and cancer.
The hormonal fallout from being overweight makes the body behave as
if
it
were inflamed, said George Bray, chief of obesity and metabolic
diseases at
the Louisiana State University Medical Center in Baton Rouge.
Obese people tend to have high levels of C-reactive protein, or CRP,
according to William Haynes, a professor of internal medicine at the
University of Iowa. Haynes studies how obesity raises blood pressure
and
damages blood vessels. Some medical people think that C-reactive
protein is
a better indicator of heart disease than cholesterol levels.
"It could be that fat cells make (the compounds) that cause the
liver
to
make CRP," Haynes said.
And that's not all the trouble that fat cells are causing. Blood
pressure is
controlled by a group of compounds that, for example, tell the body
to
take
in and retain more salt and water. More of the compounds in the body
translate roughly into higher blood pressure.
"It's clear that fat cells can produce some of the components of
this
system
" Haynes said. The bottom line: Fat people are more likely to
develop
high
blood pressure.
Unfortunately, there's still more to the story. It turns out that
fat
cells
produce a compound whose nickname is PAI1. People with lots of PAI1
are
at
increased risk of developing blood clots.
All of the above is why Bray calls overweight "a chronic, relapsing
neurochemical disease."
And while health problems tend to increase along with the amount of
fat
tissue in the body, scientists suspect that what matters more than
the
quantity of fat is the size of the fat cells. A person of healthy
weight
might on average have about 22 pounds of fat containing 14 billion
fat
cells
according to Jensen's calculations.
As we age, our fat-cell count can change. It may decrease and can
certainly
increase. At the same time, the cells themselves can shrink or (more
often)
swell with every hot-fudge brownie sundae.
As Americans pack on the pounds, fat cells get bigger, until they
reach
their limit. Then a new fat cell is created.
The job of the fat cells is to release just as much fat into the
bloodstream
as the body needs for fuel. When you consider that even a slim
person
has
enough fat to keep her going for three months, it's apparent that
those

billion cells need release only a fraction of their contents, Jensen
said.
If those 14 billion cells release even a little bit more fat than is
needed,
the effect is higher blood sugar levels, insulin resistance and on
and
on,
Jensen said.
And bigger fat cells seem to be less well-controlled than smaller
ones.
"Obesity is a disease in its own right because it has big fat
cells,"
Bray
said. "The big fat cell is the pathology. If you don't change the
size,
you
don't change the disease."
Researchers at Washington University investigated that issue in a
study
that
was published in June in the New England Journal of Medicine. They
recruited
15 obese women. Seven had Type 2 diabetes and eight had slightly
impaired
insulin sensitivity.
"When people are on a diet and lose 5 to 10 percent of their fat,
their
cholesterol and blood pressure improve, (along with) their response
to
insulin," said Selma Mohammed, a physician and research instructor
at
the
university's Center for Human Nutrition. "We figured if people can
lose
weight by dieting and have beneficial effects, we would try it by
just
sucking out the fat."
They used liposuction to remove about 20 pounds of abdominal fat
from
each
woman, resulting in about a 10 percent overall weight loss. A few
months
later, they evaluated the women's health and found that their insulin
sensitivity had not improved. Reduced insulin sensitivity is
important
because generally it is a precursor to Type 2 diabetes. Furthermore,
the
researchers found no reductions in their subjects' levels of
inflammatory
compounds, nor any improvement in their lipid levels or blood
pressure.
The bottom line: There's no painless way for people to shed their
excess
weight. It seems that eating fewer calories than you burn "may be
what
triggers cells and enzymes in our body to lead to improved
metabolism,"
Mohammed said. In other words, fat cells don't ratchet down the
hormones and
other proteins they pump into the bloodstream until they've gone to
bed
hungry a few nights.

Do You Microwave Your Food? You're Zapping Away Nutrients and
Risking

Sure, the microwave is convenient; what other device allows you to
heat
your
food up in a matter of seconds? And they're so widely used that
you'd
be
hard-pressed to find a gas station or office building without one.
But
there's a reason why I haven't had a microwave in my kitchen for
over
15
years and--much to the distress of my employees--pulled it out of
the
office
over three years ago. This is something that you likely already
intrinsically suspect but don't want to acknowledge due to the
convenience
factor--microwaves are bad for your food, and they're even worse for
you.
There are many concerns with microwave ovens, among them:
* Carcinogenic toxins could be leached from plastic or paper plates
or
covers and mix with your food.
* The food temperature may become extremely hot, at temperatures
high
enough
to cause burns or steam buildup that could explode--this is
especially
problematic for baby bottles, and is one of the reasons why baby
bottles
should never be heated in the microwave (microwaving can also break
down the
disease-fighting ability of breast milk).
* Vegetables and other food lose valuable, cancer-fighting nutrients
when
cooked in the microwave.
* The chemical structure of foods changes when microwaved, with
unknown
consequences.
There have been very few studies done to determine what kinds of
changes
occur in foods that are microwaved, but rest assured the changes are
significant.
Consider the 1991 lawsuit involving a woman who had hip surgery and
died
because the blood used in her blood transfusion was warmed in a
microwave.
Blood is routinely warmed before transfusions, but not by microwave.
The
microwave altered the blood and it killed the woman.
Microwaves also destruct and deform food molecules. A study
published
in the
November 2003 issue of The Journal of the Science of Food and
Agriculture
found that broccoli "zapped" in the microwave with a little water
lost
up to
97 percent of the beneficial antioxidant chemicals it contains. By
comparison, steamed broccoli lost 11 percent or fewer of its
antioxidants.
Besides the loss of nutrients, microwaving forms new compounds
(radiolytic
compounds) that are unknown to humans and nature. It's not yet known
exactly
what these compounds do in the human body. It will likely be a
difficult
thing to sort out, especially when there are previously unknown
compounds
being introduced to humans from a variety of sources such as new food
products (i.e., olestra) and genetically modified foods.
Perhaps the most concrete evidence of the dangers of microwaves
comes
from
Dr. Hans Hertel, a Swiss food scientist, who carried out a small but
high-quality study on the effects of microwaved food on humans. His
conclusions were clear and alarming: microwave cooking significantly
altered
the food's nutrients enough so that changes occurred in the
particpants'
blood--changes that suggested deterioration. The changes included:
* Increased cholesterol levels
* More leukocytes, or white blood cells, which can suggest poisoning
* Decreased numbers of red blood cells
* Production of radiolytic compounds (compounds unknown in nature)
* Decreased hemoglobin levels, which could indicate anemic tendencies
Dr. Hertel and his team published the results in 1992, but a Swiss
trade
organization, the Swiss Association of Dealers for Electro-
apparatuses
for
Households and Industry, had a gag order issued, which prohibited
Dr.
Hertel
from declaring that microwaves were dangerous to health. The gag
order
was
later removed in 1998, after the Swiss court ruled that the gag order

So what can you do to avoid microwaves? Well, my first suggestion is
to
get

stove. This may seem time-consuming at first, but you'll soon adjust
and may
actually start to enjoy the natural time it takes to heat up or
prepare

food. During this time, you can relax with your family, read, write,
listen
to music or do anything that will help you to slow down and prepare
for
the
meal you're about to enjoy. You may notice that taking more time to
prepare
your food will transcend to other aspects of your life as well, and
you'll
enjoy a slower, more relaxed lifestyle than the majority of those

Bye-Bye Migraines!
Many of you have heard Debra Poneman tell her story about how once

Your Immune System
Antibodies, Immune Factors, White Blood Cells, and Immunity
Background:
Our physical and emotional health is governed by our immune
system. The immune system is a complex network of white
blood cells, immune factors, and antibodies that heal us when
we are hurt, and protect our bodies from cancers, and infection
by bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other foreign agents.
In the healthy person there is a delicately balanced immune
system. Just the right amount of immune response is triggered
to repel an infection or heal a wound, and just enough of the
system is involved to stop a response. A properly balanced
immune response, does not "over respond" or "under respond."
When properly functioning the right number and types of white
blood cells and immune factors are involved to meet and resolve
the challenge.
Imbalances of our white blood cells and immune factors result in
immune disorders such as autoimmunity and allergies
(overactivity)
or susceptibility to infection and cancer (underactivity).
Immunity:
As long ago as the fifth century B. C., Greek doctors knew that
people who recovered from the plague would never get the disease
again. This is because they had acquired immunity against the
plague (NIH Publication 88-529). The white blood cells of the
immune system have "memory"; they "remember" having been
exposed previously to a specific organism. When becoming
re-infected they are ready ("immune") to releasing the right
sorts
of immune products to destroy the pathogen thereby preventing
re-infection of the body.
Self vs. Non-Self:
The key to a well-functioning immune system is its ability to
tell the difference between self and non-self. Virtually every
living organism and cell has a unique set of surface molecules
called antigens ("barcodes") that identify them. The "barcodes"
are recognized by our immune cells and helps them identify
a cell as self, or as non-self. Normally the body will not attack
its own cells ("self"), but is programmed to attack those with
"non-self" or foreign "barcodes" (antigens).
When the white cells of our immune system recognize these
non-self, foreign, "barcodes," they may trigger other types of
white blood cells to produce large proteins (antibodies) that
lock onto these antigens, to mark them for destruction. Other
cells will produce small bioactive molecules (immune cofactors)
that trigger other types of immune responses that will help heal
or defend the body.
Proper Function of the Immune System:
When balanced and stable, the immune system will destroy
non-self cells such as mutated cells that multiply causing
cancer, or foreign invaders (such as fungi, bacteria, and
parasites) that may lead to infection if left to grow to large
numbers. When it's working "right," the immune system
heals the body (wound healing), fights off infections,
and kills cancer cells.
Underactive Immune Responses:
An underactive immune system may be caused by one's
heredity, chemo or radiation therapy, excessive exercise,
aging, stress, etc. and may lead to being vulnerable to
many illnesses.
An underactive immune system, often leads to opportunistic
infections. These sorts of infections are caused by organisms
that do not bother us when we are healthy, but when our
"guard is down" (or if the immune system is not at its
appropriate level) cause severe infections.
Individuals with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS)
are at risk for getting opportunistic infections. Their disease
is characterized by an immune disorder or a breakdown of
their immune system that leaves them susceptible to
parasitic, bacterial, viral, and fungal diseases. In a person
with a properly functioning immune system, these organisms
would be unlikely to cause disease.
People with cancers and other severe diseases may also
experience lowered immune responses as a result of
anticancer therapies. Also emotional stress, malnutrition,
surgery, and blood transfusions may result in depressed
or altered immune responses.
Overactive Immune Responses:
Overactive immune systems may lead to conditions such
as allergies or autoimmune conditions. Allergies are the
result of an "over reaction" of the immune system to
non-threatening substances such as pollen or animal dander.
Autoimmune responses are the result of overactivity of
immune components and occur when the immune system
confuses self with non-self and attacks its own tissues and
cells. Autoimmune conditions, such as arthritis, multiple
sclerosis, lupus, insulin-dependent diabetes, psoriasis
fibromyalgia, inflammatory bowel diseases, etc., are
typically treated with drugs that suppress one's immune
response.
The Body's Defenses:
The natural defenses of the immune system consist of an
extremely elaborate and complex network of a trillions of
lymphocytes (white blood cells). Using small bioactive
molecules, these cells pass information back and forth
to each other like bees going out in search for pollen.
Just as bees in their colonies have different jobs, the white
blood cells in the body have their specific tasks and abilities.
"The result is a sensitive system of checks and balances
that produces an immune response that is prompt,
appropriate, effective, and [in a properly functioning
immune system] self-limiting" (NIH Publication 88-529).
The Organs of the Immune System:
Since the immune system influences almost every
physical and mental aspect of the body, it is not
surprising to find "pockets" of white blood cells
throughout the body. Tonsils, lymph nodes, spleen,
bone marrow, and thymus are some of the concentrations
of lymphocytes where cells grow and develop. It is
commonly not recognized, even among scientists and
clinicians, that the largest immunological organ of the
body is the intestine. One accumulation of cells,
embedded within the intestine wall, are called the
Peyer's patches.
White Blood Cells (Lyphocytes):
Lymphocytes recognize foreign invaders and coordinate
the natural defenses of the body. There are many different
types of lymphocytes, each group with its own function.
Some of these cells are:
* Regulatory T cells Control and coordinate white blood cell
traffic
* B cells Produce specific antibodies
* Killer Cells Kill cancer cells and those carrying viruses
* Macrophages Present "barcode" information (antigens) about
the invader so that other white blood cells can recognize
invaders.
Start immune responses. Scavenge dead organisms and cells.
* Phagocytes "PAC-Men"; gobble up infected cells
* Eosinophils Kill parasites
* Mast Cells Involved in allergies; releases chemicals that
trigger other cells
Many white blood cells recognize and react to specific antigens
("barcodes") which starts a specific immune response against
an individual class of invaders. Other types of cells respond in
a nonspecific manner killing any and all invaders.
T-Cells
T cells are involved in:
1) inflammatory reactions
2) increasing the numbers of cells for a strong defense of the
body
3) the destruction of cancer and infected cells.
T cells are one of the first immune cells to become aware of the
presence of foreign cells. When they notice an infection has
occurred, they release different classes of immune cofactors,
or biochemical signals, that activate B cells (to produce
antibodies) and other immune cells. By using these messages,
T cells recruit other cells and start an immune reaction.
Regulatory T cells defend the body by recruiting other cells.
These cells "talk" to one another with immune cofactors,
small bioactive signals that are produced by cells.
Regulatory T Cells:
The traffic cops of the immune system, these cells direct the
circulation of other immune cells that all together form the
immune network. They may call in reinforcements, or "tell"
cells to stop an immune response.
There are primarily two classes of regulatory T cells:
1) Helper cells - "turn-on" other cells like B cells,
other T cells, killer cells and macrophages.
2) Suppressor cells that "turn off" immune responses
B-Cells (Plasma cells):
Each B cell is a self-contained factory that manufactures
one specific type of antibody (immunoglobulin). These
antibodies, large proteins, are "smart" bullets designed
to identify invaders by the antigen or "bar-code" they carry.
Specific Antibodies:
Just as one key fits one lock, each antibody produced
can only "fit" (attach to) one specific "bar-code" (antigen)
on bacteria, virus, parasite, or cancer cell. A specific
antibody is directed against an individual antigen.
Cell Interactions:
Many cells are involved in triggering the B cell to produce
antibodies. Macrophages, using immune cofactors, "tell"
T cells about the architecture of the invaders. Then the
T cells release other factors that program the B cell to
"design" the right antibody for the job. Once the B cell
"knows" what sort of antibody it needs to produce, it will
manufacture millions of antibody-producing plasma cells,
each which manufactures millions of identical antibody
proteins directed against that one specific antigen.
Immune Cofactors (Bioactive Messages):
During the process of generating antibodies, the immune
cells of the body also produce different types of immune
cofactors. These biochemical messages, smaller in size
than antibodies, help direct the body's immune system
in its natural defenses.
Delicately Balanced Immune Systems:
A great deal of effort and energy goes on in the body to
maintain its exquisite balance of white blood cells and
immune factors. Too much activity may result in an
immune response that gets "carried away" (such as
an inflamed toe); a response that doesn't stop for days.
If however, the immune response ends too quickly,
then the infection may not be resolved completely or
healing may be incomplete.
One combination of immune factors may start an
immune response, and another combination of factors
may "down-regulate" an immune response, either
slowing or stopping it entirely. A balance of these is
absolutely necessary for an "appropriate" immune response.
The Balance between Foreign Cells and Our Own Cells:
The digestive system is the major entryway for bacteria
and other organisms to enter the body. More than 100
trillion bacteria are in our digestive systems at any one
time [Ann Rev Micro 31 1977]. The cells that make up
our body are heavily outnumbered by the bacteria and
other organisms in and on our bodies. (There are 10
foreign organisms for every one of our cells.)
Immunity and the Gut:
Since the body needs to defend itself against many of
these infectious agents, it is not surprising that about
25% of the intestine is involved in immunity. Additionally,
from 70%-80% of all antibody-producing cells are located
in our digestive system. These cells are so busy that at
any one time they make more antibodies than any other
cells in the body. [Immunobiology 184 1992].
Invasion of the Gut:
Let's say we've eaten a picnic sandwich that had sat too
long without refrigeration. If this meat had been
contaminated from the beginning with Salmonella, a type
of bacteria that causes problems in human guts, the warm
temperature would have encouraged rapid growth of the
numbers of the Salmonella organisms. Therefore we
might be eating a sandwich contaminated with millions
of bacteria. When large numbers of infectious organisms
enter the gut, a number of events occur:
-Specific antibodies continuously produced by the immune
cells in the gut in response to previous exposure, bind to the
bugs, stopping them from attaching to the gut where they
might start to multiply and cause illness.
-B cells, for example from the intestine's Peyer's patches,
will be stimulated by white blood cell immune factors to
produce new "lock and key" antibodies and mount a
specific immune defense against the bacteria.
-The specific antibodies lock onto the Salmonella marking
them for death by other immune cells and preventing their
attachment and replication in the gut.
-If the infection is overcome, suppressor cells will release
immune cofactors to stop other cells from being triggered
and the immune process will be "down regulated".
-Simultaneously with the antibody defense strategy,
the Salmonella may be targeted by phagocytes or other
white blood cells ,or killed with potent chemicals from
white blood cells. Different types of white blood cells
will be triggered by immune cofactors to try to physically
destroy and gobble up the Salmonella. They in turn will
release immune cofactor signals to recruit other cells.
Active vs. Passive Production of Antibodies:
There are two ways that we can obtain antibodies to
defend our bodies from harmful pathogens and cancer
cells. These are by: 1) active production (having our own
immune systems make antibody) and 2) getting
"ready-made" antibodies, from foods such as eggs
or milk, or as a pharmaceutical product.
Active Antibody Production:
Active antibody production is the result of our B cells
producing their own antibodies in response to an
infectious agent or its antigens.
Depending on where they are produced, antibodies may
be found in our gut or "floating around" in our blood stream.
Because antibodies are large molecules, antibodies
produced in the gut do not cross the digestive tract walls
and those found in the blood cannot get into our digestive
tracts. (Often the gut is referred to as being "outside" of
our bodies since food is digested and then the remainder
is excreted. That material that is excreted is always kept
"outside" of our inner bodies.)
Since we always consume food that is contaminated with
pathogens, and are exposed to organisms through the air
we breathe, we are actively producing our own antibodies
in response to foreign organisms.
Passive Immunity:
Passive immunity is the transfer of "ready-made" antibodies
produced in another person or animal, or obtained from food.
The recipient does not "make the antibodies". The individual
receives the benefit of protective antibodies without having
actively produced them.
There are two ways that antibodies are passively passed onto
an individual. These are by 1) injection into the blood stream
or body tissues and 2) orally consuming the product. (If an
antibody is able to be injected into the body, it is a drug
manufactured by a pharmaceutical company.)
When a mother nurses her offspring, she is passing on,
passively transferring, immunity. Her offspring will have this
"ready-made" immunity to protect itself from harmful
pathogens in the environment. [Since both the offspring
and the mother are both exposed to the same environmental
pathogens, mother's antibodies will be able to be used by
the offspring to help defend itself from infection and disease.]
Eventually the offspring's own immune system will mature to
the point that it can actively produce its own immunity, and
is no longer in need of the passively transferred antibody
from its mother.
Antibodies vs. Antibiotics:
When our body's immune cells recognize an invader, they
may produce antibodies that are biologically programmed
to defend against the harmful pathogen (bacteria, viruses,
fungi, molds, etc.). Each antibody neutralizes only one
specific bacteria, virus, or foreign cells. Each antibody is
"custom-designed" to attach to the appropriate pathogen.
Antibiotics, on the other hand, are drugs that are prescribed
to kill unfriendly bacteria. In some cases antibiotic drugs
may harm the body by killing our friendly bacteria, causing
harmful side effects. If the dose of antibiotic is not enough
to kill all the bacterial invaders, these bacteria can then
multiply, and often mutate to a more potent form of bacteria.
Often they become resistant to being killed by medication
and are termed antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
Antibiotic drugs kill only bacteria. Anti-virals kill viruses.
Antibodies attach to, and mark for death by white blood
cells, any pathogen against which they were "designed."
Inflammation:
In response to an infectious agent or tissue injury, an
immune response called inflammation will occur.
Inflammation is accompanied by a feeling of warmth in
the area, redness and swelling. Warmth and redness
occur when immune cofactors dilate blood vessels to
carry more blood and white blood cells. Swelling occurs
with the formation of "pus" which occurs when the immune
cells migrate into an area attracted by immune cofactors
released by other white blood cells.

Immune factors control the circulation and recruitment of
different types of white blood cells throughout the body.
They also control the type and length of time that an
immune response such as inflammation will last. Also
immune factors are involved in controlling white blood
cells in their defense of the body against infectious organisms.
"Overactivity" of the immune system over a long period
of time, may result in an inflammatory condition that
results in autoimmune disease. Similar types of white
blood cells and immune factors are involved in autoimmune,
inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis,
inflammatory bowel disease, psoriasis, lupus, multiple
sclerosis, etc. The inflammatory reaction occurs when
a particular ratio of immune cells and immune factors
exist. One category of white blood cell may increase
in numbers, while another another type of cell may
decrease.
The type of autoimmune disease one ends up with,
depends on the part of the body in which inflammation
is occurring. So for example, inflammation of: the joints
may result in arthritis; of the digestive tract, inflammatory
bowel disease; of nerve cell insulation (myelin sheath),
in multiple sclerosis.
The same sort of inflammatory response associated with
autoimmune diseases appears to be responsible for
atherosclerosis. In such cardiovascular diseases similar
categories of white blood cells and immune factors are
found as are seen in other inflammatory and autoimmune
conditions.
Stress, Emotional States, and the Immune System:
The immune system "talks" to our nervous and hormonal
systems and vice versa. All these systems are integrated
as one, and together govern our emotional as well as
physical feelings. Stress, dieting, joy, distress,
bereavement, fatigue-- all affect our immune systems.
As most of us know, hormones are intimately involved in
emotions. Certain glands in response to stress release
hormones into the blood. These hormones prepare the
body for "flight or fight" and in the process increase flow
of blood to the intestines, decrease antibody production,
and modify the numbers and types of white blood cells.
The change in immune cell populations is controlled by
immune cofactors that guide the traffic patterns and
activities of other white blood cells. Stress results in the
reduction of the activities and numbers of circulating
surveillance white blood cells. Stress also decreases
natural defenses resulting in less efficient and slower
healing, and a greater susceptibility to infection. It's not
surprising that constant stress depresses the immune
system resulting in serious health consequences.
Women who feel depressed and anxious are at greater
risk of developing high blood pressure as they age. Since
the immune system is linked to various hormones that
control blood pressure, it's not surprising that once again
the immune system, by way of immune cofactors controls
cardiovascular health.
Age and Immune Function:
With advancing age, autoimmune conditions and cancer
become more common. In some individuals white blood
cells are reduced in their numbers and their activity levels,
and their B cells produce antibody more slowly and at
lower levels. Thus, keeping the immune system young
would be ideal.
Summary
The immune network of cells defends the body from
cancer cells and foreign invaders, and helps the body
heal when it is hurt. Immune cells communicate with
each other, and recruit other white blood cells through
immune cofactors (bioactive messages). White blood
cells, with the aid of large molecules called antibodies:

and cancer cells before they reproduce and create

* Indirectly stimulate certain protector

sleep-onset insomnia, since its greatest effect is to shorten the time
required to get to sleep.
More effective than tryptophan is 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP), a form
of
tryptophan that is one step closer to serotonin administration. 5-HTP
has also been found, in several double-blind clinical studies, to
decrease the time required to get to sleep and to decrease the number
of
awakenings. To increase the sedative effects of 5-HTP, take it with a
food high in carbohydrate such as fruit or fruit juice near bedtime.
5-HTP increases the REM sleep by about twenty-five percent while
simultaneously increasing deep-sleep Stages 3 and 4, without
increasing
total sleep time.
It is important to maintain adequate levels of vitamin B., niacin, and
magnesium when using 5-HTP, as these nutrients serve as essential
cofactors in the conversion of 5-HTP to serotonin.
Melatonin
Melatonin is a hormone secreted naturally by the pineal gland.
Melatonin
is the sleep hormone. It is said to induce sleep without any negative
side effects. Melatonin is secreted mainly at night. Melatonin is
found
naturally in plants and in algae.
In several studies, supplementation with melatonin has been found
helpful in inducing and maintaining sleep in both children and adults,

Green tea "benefits cancer prevention"
US scientists say the ability of green tea to fight cancer has been
underestimated.A team from New York's University of Rochester says
that chemicals contained in green tea shut down one of the key
molecules that tobacco relies upon to cause cancer.
The researchers reached their conclusions after measuring the effects
of the chemicals found in green tea on a molecule known as the aryl
hydrocarbon (AH) receptor.
Previously Dr Thomas Gasiewicz, of the university's Environmental
Health Science Center, has shown that tobacco smoke and dioxin
manipulate the molecule to cause havoc within the body.
However, along with colleagues, he discovered that two substances in
green tea inhibit AH activity. These substances are close relations
to other flavinoids that are known to help prevent cancer and are
found in broccoli, cabbage, grapes and red wine.
The study's authors found that the chemicals shut down the AH
receptor in cancerous mouse cells and early stages of their research
suggest that the same may apply to human cells.
The scientists do point out, however, that the precise way in which
green tea is metabolised in the body is crucial to its effectiveness
and laboratory results cannot necessarily be taken to assume that
drinking green tea has the same effect.
"Right now we don't know if drinking the amount of green tea that a
person normally drinks would make a difference, but the work is
giving us insight into how the proteins work," says co-investigator
and graduate student Christine Palermo.
She adds that there are "a lot of differences" between various kinds
of green tea, and that much more research is needed.
The research is published in the journal Chemical Research in
Toxicology.

risks from dioxins in foods are too unknown for regulatory limits, an
independent panel of experts said today, but a federal interagency
group should spearhead efforts to reduce human exposure to dioxins in
foods.
These efforts should focus specifically on reducing
exposure to girls and women, encouraging stricter compliance with
dietary recommendations to consume less animal fat, and improving
data collection of levels of dioxins in human food and animal feed,
according to the report released by the Institute of Medicine of the
National Academies.
Dioxins - and dioxin-like compounds - are
persistent organic pollutants produced by waste incineration and
other industrial processes. They accumulate in the body fat of
animals and people, and the fats in animal meat, whole mild and full-
fat dairy products are the principal sources of most people's
exposure.
The European Union has set limits for dioxins in
food, as high levels of dioxins have been linked to endocrine-related
conditions, developmental problems, and susceptibility to cancer,
among other health hazards.
But the Institute of Medicine panel determined that
the data gaps are too great to determine whether small amounts of
dioxins are toxic and at what levels they begin to pose risks.
"It is not a question of there being no data, there
is good data and the report quantifies and presents it," said
committee member Julie Caswell, a resource economics professor at the
University of Massachusetts.

"But if you want to reduce dioxin exposure the data
to choose strategies to do that is inadequate," she explained.
As a result, the panel is "recommending simple,
prudent steps to further reduce dioxin exposure while data are
gathered that will clarify the risks, " said Robert Lawrence,
associate dean at Johns Hopkins University's Bloomberg School of
Public Health and chair of the committee that wrote the report.
The report, "Dioxins and Dioxin-like Compounds in
the Food Supply: Strategies to Decrease Exposure," was requested by
the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Food and Drug
Administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
The most direct way for humans to reduce dietary
exposure to dioxins, the report finds, is to reduce consumption of
animal fat. As dioxins are persistent and long lived compounds that
accumulate in human tissues over a lifetime, the panel recommends
that aggressive action be taken to reduce exposure in girls and
women.
This is the only practical way to reduce dioxin
exposure in fetuses and breast feeding infants, which are more
susceptible to the harmful effects of dioxins, the report finds.
Given the health and social benefits of breast-
feeding, the committee recommended strategies to reduce accumulated
body levels of dioxins, rather than to discourage breast-feeding.
The panel recommends the government examine the
levels of saturated fats in school lunch and breakfast programs,
which collectively provide mealst to more than 30 million children.

The panel says the government-sponsored food
programs, such as the National School Lunch Program, should increase
the availability of foods low in animal fat. In particular, low-fat
milk should be made more widely available in the school lunch program
and the USDA should analyze the impact of setting limits on the
amount of saturated fat that can be present in meals served in the
school breakfast and lunch programs.
The committee calls for the promotion of compliance
with the Dietary Guidelines for American on the consumption of
saturated fats as a way to minimize dioxin exposure without
compromising nutrition.
"We are recommending that the current USDA
guidelines that call for 10 percent saturated fat and 30 percent
total fat be followed," Lawrence said.
The panel found that dietary changes to reduce
dioxin exposure may have additional benefit of reducing the risks of
cardiovascular disease and other health risks associated with
excessive consumption of saturated fat.
Because of the health benefits associated with
omega-3 fatty acids in fish and the difficulty of trimming fat from
fish, the committee did not recommend that people reduce their
consumption of fatty fish below the currently recommended two
servings per week.
Lawrence told reporters that "some of the same
guidelines that have been released to reduce our exposure to mercury
would apply" to setting limits on the intake of fish at the top of
the food chain.
The report recommends that an interagency group
make serious efforts to collect data on the actual levels and
distribution of dioxins in the food supply and calls for the
establishment of a nationwide data collection effort and a single
repository for data on dioxin levels in animal forage and feed.
Getting a handle on how, where and to what extent
dioxins get into animal feed "presents the greatest opportunity to
reduce dioxin levels in food," said committee member Michael Taylor,
senior fellow and director of the Risk Resource and Environmental
Management Division at Resources for the Future, a nonprofit
environmental think tank..
"A high priority should be placed on reducing
contamination of animal forage and feed," Taylor said, "and in
interrupting the recycling of dioxins that results from the use of
animal fat in animal feeds."
Until there is enough data to shed light on whether
there should be regulatory limits, the committee recommends the
interagency coordinating group engage the private and public sectors
on programs to reduce exposure in human foods and animal feed.

For example, federal agencies should work with food
producers to develop voluntary guidelines for animal feeding and food-
production practices that would minimize animals' exposure to
dioxins.
The panel says further improvements in analytical
tools and methods will enable researchers to better characterize any
possible risks associated with low-level exposure. The report
concludes that the "most pressing need is for the development of low
cost analytical methods to detect dioxins," Taylor said.
The current expense of $1,000 per sample is an
obstacle to collection of data need for comprehensive risk management
strategy, Taylor told reporters.
A positive sign, Lawrence says, is that dioxin
levels in the environment have declined dramatically in recent
decades - by as much as 76 percent since the 1970s, according to some
measurements.
The panelists available at today's press briefing
were unable to comment on Monday's release of toxics data by the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency that indicated a 50 percent increase
in the total releases of dioxin and dioxin-like compounds in 2001
compared to 2000.
In Monday's prepared statement, the EPA wrote that
the overall long term trend is that levels of dioxin are decreasing
and suggests that the increase in 2001 was in part due to one time
maintenance at several facilities.

Some people appear to have an almost pathological emotional
attachment to their cell phones and there is a fascinating
suggestion that cell radiation pulses might actually be
addictive to the human brain.. We can't save those who would
rather die than switch. But ethics compelled us to ensure that
all reasonable people have access to the basic scientific facts.
Your cell phone is a microwave transmitter and it should bear
a cancer warning! Microwave energy oscillates at millions to
billions of cycles per second. The Journal of Cellular
Biochemistry reports that these frequencies cause cancer and
other diseases by interfering with cellular DNA and its repair
mechanisms. Microwave promotes rapid cell aging. Italian
scientists have recently demonstrated that cell phone radiation
makes cancerous cells grow aggressively. Cordless phones
marked 900 megahertz or 2.4 gigahertz emit the same
dangerous microwave radiation as cell phones.
The connection between microwave exposure and cancer has
been documented for years. During the Cold War, the Soviets
irradiated the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, Russia, with low
level, twin-beam microwave radiation. Two successive
ambassadors developed leukemia. Other staffers also
developed cancer, or their blood showed DNA damage, which
precedes cancer.
Research by University of Washington professor Dr. Henry
Lai shows brain cells are clearly damaged by microwave levels
far below the U.S. government's "safety" guidelines. Dr. Lai
notes that even tiny doses of radio frequency can cumulate
over time and lead to harmful effects. He warns that public
exposure to radiation from wireless transmitters "should be
limited toĘminimal."
Motorola advises consumers to avoid pointing a cellular
antenna toward exposed parts of the body. But independent
tests show that cell phones can also leak huge amounts of
radiation from the keypad and mouthpiece. This radiation
deeply penetrates brain, ear and eye tissues, which are
especially susceptible to microwave damage. Belt clip cases
allow cell phones to deliver radiation to the liver or kidney
areas when a wired, hands-free earpiece is used.
Recent studies confirm that cell and cordless phone
microwave can:
*Damage nerves in the scalp
*Cause blood cells to leak hemoglobin
*Cause memory loss and mental confusion
*Cause headaches and induce extreme fatigue
*Create joint pain, muscle spasms and tremors
*Create burning sensation and rash on the skin
*Alter the brain's electrical activity during sleep
*Induce ringing in the ears, impair sense of smell
*Precipitate cataracts, retina damage and eye cancer
*Open the blood-brain barrier to viruses and toxins
*Reduce the number and efficiency of white blood cells
*Stimulate asthma by producing histamine in mast cells
*Cause digestive problems and raise bad cholesterol levels
*Stress the endocrine system, especially pancreas, thyroid,
ovaries, testes
In 1993, the telecom industry committed $25 million dollars
for a series of research projects designed to prove that cell
phones are safe. The studies proved just the opposite! They
proved that federal microwave exposure standards are
dangerously inadequate. Cell damage and tumors can be
easily induced in the lab at about one third of the FCC's
exposure guidelines.
The telecom boys panicked. They and their lackey politicians
and federal regulators decided the only lucrative thing to do
was to LIE and DENY. Despite damning evidence, the FDA
still prevaricates: "There is no reason to conclude that there are
health risks posed by cell phones to consumers." Meantime,
the telecom industry has been pressing to INCREASE BY
MORE THAN 10 TIMES the allowable human exposure to
cell phone radiation!
Luckily, Dr. George Carlo headed up the industry's study
project. He presents the shocking facts in his book, Cell
Phones: Invisible Hazards in the Wireless Age: An Insider's
Alarming Discoveries About Cancer and Genetic Damage
(Carroll and Graf, 2001). A summary of Dr. Carlo's book is
this: Cell phones are hot, adequate protective regulations are
naught, and Americans are being "fried" so that the deceitful
telecom industry can rake it in! It's dirty business as usual,
and the longer the industry can con the public, the more
billions it collects.
On June 16, 2002, CBS aired a Sixty Minutes segment which
confirmed the telecom industry is about grungy as it gets.
CBS producers accused major phone service providers of
cheating, scamming, forging signatures, switching phone
service without permission and lying about charges. The
attorney general of Connecticut stated that despite millions of
dollars in fines each year, these companies remains
incorrigible. Should we be trusting this industry with our
brain tissues and our very lives?
Microwave to the head is extremely hazardous to children.
Parents in some European nations are now warned to keep
children away from cell phones. A University of Utah
researcher found the younger the child, the more radiation is
absorbed by the brain. Spanish researchers have shown that
cell phones can alter electrical activity of a child's brain for
hours, causing drastic mood changes and possible behavior
and learning disabilities. Scientists fear that cell phone
radiation could damage human embryos. Pregnant women are
advised to be wary.
A cell phone must greatly increase its field strength to
maintain communications within the metallic cage of an auto.
Thus, the effect of microwave radiation inside a vehicle is
especially intense. Volkswagen of Europe has warned that cell
phone usage inside a car can be "injurious to health due to the
extremely high electromagnetic fields generated."
Insurance studies in England showed that an average driver
talking on a cell is actually more impaired in function and
reaction time than a drunk. Finland's Radiation and Nuclear
Safety Authority reports that one hour of exposure to mobile
phone radiation can cause human cells to shrink. Researchers
believe this is due to increased protein activity, an indicator of
cell damage. What an unstable world needs now is a global
population afflicted with incredible shrinking brains!
Brain cancer rates in USA have increased by 25% since 1975.
In 2001, 185,000 Americans were diagnosed with some form
of brain cancer. A grade four brain tumor can grow from the
size of a grape to tennis ball size in just 4 months. Brain
tumors are almost always fatal and most people die within
6-12 months after diagnosis. On April 7, 2002, Sixty Minutes
aired a fascinating report on brain cancer, explaining that
scientists are unsure why incidence of the disease is growing
so exponentially.
Ironically, the segment was followed by a Sprint ad, which
advised parents that the best way to keep track of teenagers is
to connect them to a cell phone. While researchers say that
radical damage to the brain can occur within the first few
minutes of conversation, telecom ads encourage customers to
spend many hours on the phone each month. Those blazing,
full-page cell phone ads in newspapers and magazines must
be the reason cell phone dangers are almost never discussed in
the mainstream media.
An excellent resource tool is Robert Kane's book Cellular
Telephone Russian Roulette (Vantage Press, 2001). As a
telecommunications expert, Kane presents an impressive
collection of studies showing that both government agencies
and cell phone manufacturers KNEW YEARS AGO that cell
phone radiation at present exposure levels is dangerous to
human health. He notes that cell phones would be rendered
useless if their RF emissions were reduced to safe levels.
Reports of illness from heavy cell phone usage and from
living or working close to powerful RF transmitters are
synchronous with numerous cancer-related lawsuits now
being filed against the cell phone industry. The insurance
industry sees big trouble ahead. Underwriters for Lloyd's of
London refuse to insure phone manufacturers against damage
to users' health. Cell phones are today what tobacco was 40
years ago.

SOY is bad news. Just in case some readers need to be convinced, here
is more on the subject.
Said to be "the greatest" by dieters and companies like Monsanto that
try to foist it on women to solve their menopause problems, soy is at
best a scam and at worst downright dangerous. After researching the
soy-hype and charting its history, John Thomas (author of "Young
Again") points to the manipulation of public opinion in order to
market soy. Here again is proof another toxic product erroneously
promoted as a "health agent." Thomas comments on why soy is REAL
trouble:
"Soy is a toxic plant! It is one of two plants grown for 'industrial'
oils. Soybean and canola both thrive on toxic soil and air. Soy
converts and stores toxic energies in its 'oil' (much as humans do by
entombing toxic waste in body fat). Soybeans were first genetically
altered in the 1950's to create a plant that would prosper on toxic
soil. [A "garbage" plant.]
"Put soy or canola oil into a human body and thousands of
unpredictable reactions occur. For instance, soy oxidizes quickly
releasing large amounts of free radicals. Those who eat soy and tofu
(a soy product) eventually experience degeneration of connective
tissues and buildup of excess phytic acid…. Soy-phytates also deprive
the body of zinc needed to ward off diabetes and strengthen the
immune system. In short, Soy is trouble!"
MUCH trouble, as Dick and Valeria James learned. Owners of an exotic
bird-ranch in New Zeeland, the James changed from birdseed and
berries to a commercial feed containing 20 percent soy protein in
1992. For six months the birds thrived, then disaster struck when 542
chicks and 289 adult parrots, parakeets and finches hemorrhaged,
wasted away, and either died or became deformed.
Investigating the mystery, 22 year-old Tania James analyzed the
birds' feeding records and noted a link to the family's physical
problems. For instance, she and her hyperactive brother each had
eczema and numerous allergies. Comparing the percentage of soy in the
bird feed to her own infant formula, she found an astounding
parallel. In the next two years, the family spent $350,000
researching what killed the birds and became convinced that
phytoestrogen, an endocrine-mimicking chemical in soy protein, was
responsible for the disaster.
In 1995, word of the tragedy reached the U.S. and the FDA got into
the act. Whereas soy protein did have approval for use as a binder in
cardboard boxes, many researchers admitted that migration of nitrites
from box to food could constitute a cancer risk. While FDA officials
called for tighter safety and monitoring procedures, few were
executed. To this day, use of soy is not GRAS (Generally Recognized
As Safe), except for industrial use. Nonetheless, even without GRAS
status, soy protein remains a key ingredient in infant formula. As an
endocrine disrupter with the ability to affect many biological
structures and functions, SOY simply is NOT SAFE for human

Subject: Mobile Phone Safety, Static Electricity & Fueling your car
The Shell Oil Company recently issued a warning after three
incidents in which mobile phones (cell phones) ignited fumes
during fueling operations.
In the first case, the phone was placed on the car's trunk lid
during fueling; it rang and the ensuing fire destroyed the car
and the gasoline pump.
In the second, an individual suffered severe burns to their face
when fumes ignited as they answered a call while refueling their car.
And in the third, an individual suffered burns to the thigh and
groin as fumes ignited when the phone, which was in their pocket,
rang while they were fueling their car.
You should know that:
Mobile Phones can ignite fuel or fumes. Mobile phones that light up
when switched on or when they ring release enough energy to
provide a spark for ignition. Mobile phones should not be used in
filling stations, or when fueling lawn mowers, boat, etc.
Mobile phones should not be used, or should be turned off, around
other materials that generate flammable or explosive fumes or
dust, i.e., solvents, chemicals, gases, grain dust, etc.
Another safety warning you should know about concerns static
electricity. Below is an email from Pat Cabiling who works at

Four Rules for Safe Refueling

1) Turn off engine.
2) Don't smoke.
3) Don't use your cell phone - leave it inside the vehicle or turn
it off.
4) Don't re-enter your vehicle during fueling.
Bob Renkes of Petroleum Equipment Institute is working on
a campaign to try and make people aware of fires as a result
of "static electricity" at gas pumps. His company has
researched 150 cases of these fires His results were very
surprising:
1) Out of 150 cases, almost all of them were women.
2) Almost all cases involved the person getting back in their
vehicle while the nozzle was still pumping gas, when finished
and they went back to pull the nozzle out the fire started, as
a result of static.
3) Most had on rubber-soled shoes.
4) Most men never get back in their vehicle until completely
finished.
This is why they are seldom involved in these types of fires.
5) Don't ever use cell phones when pumping gas.
6) It is the vapors that come out of the gas that cause the fire,
when connected with static charges.
7) There were 29 fires where the vehicle was reentered and the
nozzle was touched during refueling from a variety of makes
and models. Some resulting in extensive damage to the
vehicle, to the station, and to the customer.
8) Seventeen fires that occurred before, during or immediately after
the gas cap was removed and before fueling began.
Mr. Renkes stresses to NEVER get back into your vehicle while
filling it with gas.
If you absolutely HAVE to get in your vehicle while the gas is
pumping, make sure you get out, close the door TOUCHING
THE METAL, before you ever pull the nozzle out. This way
the static from your body will be discharged before you ever
remove the nozzle.
As mentioned earlier, The Petroleum Equipment Institute,

make the public aware of this danger.

Effects of Microwave Appliances on
Food and Humans

Microwave cooking ovens were originally researched and developed by
German scientists to support mobile operations during the invasion of
th Soviet Union. Had they perfected electronic equipment on a mass
scale, the Nazi's could have eliminated the logistical problems
connected with cooking fuels while producing edible products in far
less time than they could using traditional cooking tools.
After the war, the Allies discovered the medical research and
documentation concerning thoses apparatuses. The papers and
experimental microwave equipment were transferred to the U.S War
Department and classified for reference and scientific
investigation. the Soviet Union also retrieved some of the devices
and began an experiment on them separately.
The Russians - who have done the most diligent research into the
biological effects of microwave ovens - HAVE OUTLAWED THEIR USE, and
issued an international warning about the biological and
environmental damage that can result from the use of these and of
similar frequencies electronic apparatuses.
MEDICAL RESEARCH SUMMARY
The most significant German research concerned the biological effects
of microwaves were done at the Humboldt Universitat zu Berlin in 1942-
43, during the Barbarossa military campaign. Beginning in 1957, and
continuing up to the present, Russian studies in the field have been
conducted at the Institute of Radio Technology.
In most research, foods were exposed to microwave propagation at an
energy potential of 100 kilowatts per cubic centimeter per second to
the point considered acceptable for sanitary normal ingestion.
The observation made by the German and Russian microwave researchers
will be presented here in three categories: cancer causing effects,
destruction of nutritive value and biological effects of direct
exposure of humans to microwave emissions.
EFFECTS ON MICROWAVE FOODS
The following effects have been observed when foods are subjected to
microwave emissions.
Meats
Heating prepared meats sufficiently to insure sanitary ingestion
created nitrosodiethanolamine, a well-known cancer causing agent.
Proteins
Active-protein, biomolecular compounds are destabilized.
Increase in Radioactivity
A "binding effect" between the microwaved food and any atmospheric
radioactivity is created, causing a marked increase in the amount of
alpha and beta particle saturation in the food.
Milk and Cereals
Cancer-causing agents are created in the protein-hydrolysate
compounds in milk and cereal grains.
Frozen Foods
Microwaves used to thaw frozen foods alter the catabolism (breakdown)
of the glucoside and galactoside elements; both are glycosides (sugar
derivatives) and found widely in plants.
Vegetables
Even extremely brief exposure of raw, cooked or frozen to microwaves
alter alkoloid catabolism, which can have a strong toxic effect on
the human system.
RESULTING EFFECT ON THE HUMAN BODY
Digestive System
The unstable catabolism of microwaved foods alters their elemental
food substances, causing disorders in the digestive system.
Lymphatic System
Due to chemical alterations within food substances, malfunctions
occur in the lymphatic system, causing a degeneration of the body's
ability to protect itself against certain forms of neoplastics
(cancerous growths).
Blood
A higher-than-normal percentage of cancerous cells in blood serum
(cytomas) can be seen in subjects ingesting microwaved foods.
Brain
Their residual magnetism effect can render the psychoneural-receptor
components of the brain more subject to influence by artificially
induced, microwave radio frequency fields from transmission stations
and TV relay networks.
Free Radicals
Certain trace mineral molecular formations in plant substances (in
particular, raw-root vegetables) form cancer-causing free radicals.
Increased Incidence of Stomach and Intestinal Cancers
A statistically higher percentage of cancerous growths result in
these organs, plus a generalized breakdown of the peripheral cellular
tissues and a gradual degeneration of digestive and excretory
functions.
MICROWAVES REDUCE FOOD VALUE
Microwave exposure caused significant decreases in the nutritive
value of all foods studied. the following are the most important
findings to date:
Vitamins and Minerals Made Useless
In every food tested, the bioavailability of the following vitamins
decreased: Vitamin B complex, vitaminsC and E, essential minerals and
lipotropics.
Vital Energy Fields Devastated
The vital energy field content of all foods tested dropped 60 to 90
percent.
Digestibility of Fruits and Vegetables Reduced
Microwaving lowers the metabolic behavior and integration process
capability of alkaloids, glucosides, lactosides and nitrolosides.
Meat Protein Worthless
It destroys the nutritive value of nucleoproteins in meats.
All Foods Damaged
It greatly accelerates the structural disintegration of all foods
tested.
BIOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF MICROWAVES
Exposure to microwave emissions also has a negative effect upon the
general biological welfare of humans. This was not discovered until
the Russians experimented with highly sophisticated equipment and
discovered that humans can be adversely affected without even
ingesting the foods that have been subjected to microwave radiation.
Merely entering the energy field of the food causes such harmful side
effects that the Soviets outlawed all such microwave apparatus in
1976.
Here are the effects observed in humans having "direct" exposure to
microwaves, that is, without their having consumed the irradiated
food substances.
Life-Energy Field Breakdown
Persons near microwave ovens in operation experience a breakdown in
their life-energy fields that increases relative to the length of
exposure.
Cellular Energy Decreases
The cellular voltage parallels of individuals using the apparatus
degenerate-especially in their blood and lymphatic serums.
Destabilized Metabolism
The external energy activated potentials of food utilization are both
destabilized and degenerated.
Cell Damage
Internal cellular-membrane potentials during catabolic processes into
the blood serum from the digestive process degenerate and destabilize.
Brain Circuitry
Electrical impulses in the junction potentials of the cerebrum
degenerate and break down.
Nervous System
Nerve/electrical circuits degenerate and break down while energy
field symmetry is lost in the neuro-plexuses (nerve centers) in both
the front and rear of the central and autonomic nervous systems.
Loss of Bioelectric Strength
The bio-electric strengths within the ascending reticular (netlike)
activating system (the system which controls the function of waking
consciousness) go out of balance and lose their proper circuiting.
Loss of Vital Energies
Humans, animals and plants located within a 500-meter radius of the
equipment in operatiuon suffer a long term, cumulative loss of vital
energies.
Nervous and Lymphatic System Damage
Long-lasting residual and magnetic "deposits" become located
throughout the nervous and lymphatic systems.
Hormone Imbalances
The production of hormones and maintenance of hormonal balance in
both males and females becomes destabilized and interrupted.
Brainwave Disruption
Levels of disturbance in alpha, delta and theta wave signal patterns
are markedly higher than normal.
Psychological Disorders
Because of the disarranged brain waves, negative psychological
effects will also result. These include loss of memory and the
ability to concentrate, suppressed emotional threshold, deceleration
of intellective processes and interrupted sleep episodes in a
statistically higher percentage of individuals subjected to continual
range-emission field effects of microwave apparatus, from either
cooking or transmission stations.
Due to the contraindications listed above, the use of microwave
apparatus in any form is definitely ill-advised. Present scientific
opinion in many countries clearly opposes them, as exemplified by the
mentioned Soviet ban.
