ALOE VERA : from
http://nccam.nih.gov/health/aloevera/

What It Is Used For
Traditionally, aloe was used topically to heal wounds and for various
skin conditions, and orally as a laxative.
Today, in addition to traditional uses, people take aloe orally to
treat a variety of conditions, including diabetes, asthma, epilepsy,
and osteoarthritis. People use aloe topically for osteoarthritis,
burns, and sunburns.
Aloe vera gel can be found in hundreds of skin products, including
lotions and sunblocks.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved aloe vera as a
natural food flavoring.

NOPAL or CACTUS (prickly pear)

from :http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nopal

Health benefits
Nopales are very rich in insoluble and especially soluble dietary
fiber. They are also rich in vitamins (especially vitamin A, vitamin C,
and vitamin K, but also riboflavin and vitamin B6) and minerals
(especially magnesium, potassium, and manganese, but also iron and
copper). Nopales have a high calcium content, but the nutrient is not
biologically available because it is present as calcium oxalate, which
is neither highly soluble nor easily absorbed through the intestinal
wall.[2] Addition of nopales also reduces the glycemic effect of a
mixed meal.[3] Nopales are low carbohydrate and may help in the
treatment of diabetes.[4]
