THE GIFT IN YOUR HANDS

Dear Friend,

My name is Deborah, I am 53 years old, and this Christmas Day my 23-year-old son James will be in a hospital for schizophrenia patients.

I don't suffer when I think of him.  Whenever I think of James, I breathe a sigh of gratitude that he is alive.  Because one January day not long ago, he drove a car over a cliff and plunged into the icy water of a flooded quarry.

While in free fall, he changed his mind about wanting to die; and after the car hit the water, before it began to sink he managed to get out; then he swam to the quayside, hauled himself up and climbed out.

When I think of James, I feel only love, the love that a person feels for a part of their self.  In fact the tenderness I feel for him is something I could never begin to describe, and it lights up my whole being from the inside, like a deep magenta glow, in a way that nothing else can.

I deeply and truly believe that my life is free from suffering because of what I think and believe about myself and about life.

And I go about sharing my freedom from suffering with others, by helping my husband George, who is in charge of public relations for Humanity's Team.

I deeply and truly believe that every person on this beautiful Earth can be free from suffering as I am, by examining their thoughts and beliefs as I have done, and accepting only those that serve them; so that instead of their thoughts causing them to suffer, they cause them to feel intensely grateful.

There are many ways to share with others the gift of Freedom from Suffering and the feeling of Deep Gratitude.

I chose Humanity's Team as a channel to do this because, like love, it is All-Embracing.  It includes everyone upon the Earth as part of the Human Family.  It accepts everyone with understanding, tolerance and compassion, and helps everyone to grow towards the light and bring out their inner gifts.

P.S.   Below, the Worldwide Support Team updates us on Humanity's Team's work and achievements in 2007, to be continued in 2008:

As the year draws to an end, we are blessed to be able to reflect on what we have achieved in these last 12 months.  Before we head into a New Year, with new possibilities for evolution and the expression of joy, the celebration of Christmas, Hanukkah, Ramadan and Winter Solstice bring us the warmth and  support needed to contemplate our successes and to begin to dream larger and more ambitious dreams.

This has been a watershed year for Humanity's Team.  In 2007 the organization came into its own with the launch of new multimedia initiatives, and exciting plans to increase HT's outreach around the world.  Not to mention a hugely successful World Tour.

We plan to make 2008 an even more impactful year, even more ambitious, even more courageous, and even more effective than the whirlwind activity that was 2007.

We plan to make "Oneness" the word on everyone's lips in 2008.  To do this, we are inviting your support.

For those wondering what all the fuss was about this year, here is a little review of some of the extraordinary events which took place and some wonderful examples of what can be done with the love and support of people like you.

In the spring of this year we arranged for Neale Donald Walsch, our Founder, and Steve Farrell, our Director, to circle the world and stop in ten countries on six continents in 39 days.  The tour stopped in New Zealand, Japan, Portugal, Moldova, England, Germany, South Africa, Argentina, the U.S. and Canada.  We estimate over 5,000 people attended the tour including many who are new to Oneness, what it means and how it works.

We are seeing expanded educational outreach, spiritual activism and participation in our programs, projects and activities as a result of the tour.  We were absolutely thrilled with the outcomes flowing from the world tour and we'll repeat it in a few more years.

Our Global Council met in Portugal in June of this year and approved measures to increase our educational outreach,  form HT communities in locations where we reside, begin spiritual activism projects and launch a process to formally reach out to the media.  Plans and activities are moving forward now on all of these fronts.

A New Media Task Force was launched shortly after the GC meeting in Portugal.  Teams of people from around the world are coming together to issue press releases bringing our voice to the media and the world.  Some of the press releases are coordinated so each team is translating and putting out the messages.

Teams are also bringing messages to the media focusing on Oneness unique to particular countries and communities.  We are committed to bringing our messages of Oneness to the media and all parts of the world.  Log-on to our Humanity's Team web site regularly and you can follow our progress.  Key press releases are being posted as we release them.

We put up a new Humanity's Team web site www.humanitysteam.org early this year and we're now in the process of updating it.  We're adding integrated technologies including audio, video, RSS, CMS, spiritual activism modules, a leadership area, a media relations area and much more.  Please plan to visit our site regularly as we are implementing many new features.

In May of next year, we're hosting a "Oneness Summit" in Buenos Aires, Argentina.  Neale, Steve and our leadership team will participate.  We'll also be bringing thought leaders and entertainers from around the world to participate.  Many have already committed to coming.  Please stay tuned for details and mark your calendars if there is any possibility you can join us.  The dates are May 24 & 25.  We will have capacity for about 1,000 people to attend.  This is not to be missed!
