Dear Pre-Health Students,

The UCI School of Medicine, Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA)
and Student National Medical Association (SNMA) at UC Irvine are proud
to announce the *8th Annual Pre-Health Conference*. We will host this
event at the *UC Irvine Campus* on *Saturday October 25, 2008*.

We invite you to participate in our *8th Annual Pre-Health Conference
*Exhibitor Fair. The theme of this year's conference is *"Achieving
Unity Through Diversity in Healthcare." *The UC Irvine School of
Medicine LMSA-SNMA Pre-Health Conference offers workshops and personal
interaction with healthcare professionals, medical students, faculty,
and staff for motivated pre-health students ranging from high school
through Post baccalaureates. Participants learn about admissions
requirements for graduate program in the health professions, features
of a competitive applicant, proper interviewing etiquette, and
financing a health profession education, among other things.

Last year over 450 students attended the conference and this year we
expect to have nearly 600 participants from all over southern
California. We Invite students from all the UCs (UCLA, UCI, UCSD, UC
Berkeley, UCR, UCSB, UCD), the Cal State schools, USC, Pepperdine, LMU
and other private schools in the area, as well as local Community
colleges. Based on the attendee feedback one of the most popular and
beneficial sessions in the conference schedule is the exhibitor fair.
Many conference attendees will be applying to graduate programs in the
health sciences in the very near future and are seeking information on
the wide range of options in professional schools. This is an
excellent opportunity for you to meet and present to a large group of
motivated students interested in a career in the health sciences.

*Event Details*

*Event Date: *Saturday, October 25, 2008

*Event Time:* Exhibitor fair from 12pm-2 pm. (The full Conference is

As an exhibitor you will be provided with a six foot table and two
chairs to accommodate two representatives and your recruitment
materials. Lunch will be provided for two representatives from your
organization. The exhibitor fair is scheduled from 12 – 2 pm.
Additionally, students will have the opportunity to visit your table
between sessions throughout the afternoon.

Over the years it has become a tradition to hold a raffle with donated
gifts, such as T-shirts, sweatshirts, and other items from the
participating Health Professional schools and organizations. These
become great souvenirs for the students attending the conference, so
we ask you that you bring a few items from your school or organization
for the raffle.

Thank you in advance for a timely response to our invitation. Should
any questions arise, please contact us at (949) 824-5388 and ask to
speak with Jill, or send an email to
*uciprehealthconference@...*. We look forward to meeting you!

Best Regards,
