Title: Public Service Aide/Health Worker
Location:Ocean Park Health Center
Salary: $15.65 Hourly
Hours: Flexible; 4 hour shifts; Mon – Fri, from 8-12PM or 1-5PM
Essential Duties:
Under the direction of the Nurse Manager and the Medical Director, the
Public Service Aide performs the following essential job functions:
Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs;
Performing intake and post examination duties. Collecting patient data;
Processing medical charts/folders;
Collecting and entering data into the chronic disease registry;
Providing patient/family instruction in preventative health issues
according to protocol;
Participating in quality improvement activities;
Acting as back-up to Medical Exam Assistant;
Performing other related duties as assigned/required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent
Fluency in Russian language
Desired Qualifications:
Able to work well independently and as a member of a team
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Desire to work with low income and multi-cultural clients, who have
multiple chronic medical and social problems
Strong organizational skills in performing duties effectively,
efficiently and productively
Experience working with computers
