Dear Students:
The Tenderloin Boys & Girls Club is looking for volunteers to help support the
upcoming "Tenderloin Community Health and Safety Fair" on Saturday, September
29, 2007. This wonderful event is in its 12th year and provides health
screenings, information on safety awareness, emergency planning and much more to
children, seniors and families.
Event location:
Tenderloin Children's Playground
570 Ellis Street (between Leavenworth & Hyde)
Event time: 11am to 3pm
Volunteer Shifts: (approximately four hours each)
- 8am to 12pm
- 11am to 3pm
Please arrive 20 minutes early for volunteer registration & orientation.
Volunteers can sign up for one ore more of these four-hour shifts.
Volunteers will help with various jobs which may include greeting guests,
supporting booths (photo, bingo, games table, etc.), lunch service, raffle
giveaways, and general logistics.
As a thank you, volunteers will be provided coffee and bagels for breakfast
and/or lunch in the afternoon.
