Dear Dr. Rothman:

I work for CEP (known as
California Emergency Physicians); we have multiple locations up and down
the state of California. Seton Emergency Department located in Daly
City will be starting a Scribe program, hence we are looking for
individuals to interview and hire. A Scribe essentially is a human
tape-recorder who will go into the patient room with the physician and
record information in real time. Although they do not have direct
patient contact, this will give individuals a unique opportunity to
utilize skills and knowledge obtained in school. Many of our Scribes
have gone onto medical school and have indicated this helped them
tremendously as well as re-affirmed their career aspirations.
