Dear Students:

Maitri is a fifteen room residence for people living with AIDS. Maitri
serves low-income men and women who are severely disabled from AIDS,
and need skilled nursing or end of life care. Maitri is a truly unique
place, providing quality, loving care in a beautiful, warm
environment.

Volunteers at Maitri play a vital role in resident care, providing
emotional, practical, and spiritual support; helping to serve meals in
the dining room, escorting to doctor's appointments sitting at the
bedside, participating in outings, events and much more. To be a
volunteer, you must participate in our volunteer training after which
we ask for a minimum six month commitment of four hours per week.

The next 4-Day Training is scheduled for September 22, 23, 29, and 30.
