The San Francisco Community HealthCorps*VISTA program is seeking dynamic
individuals to provide capacity-building resources at Ocean Park Health
Center. VISTA members do "behind-the-scenes" service working with health
center staff, community-based organizations and other partners.
HealthCorps*VISTA members are assigned on a full-time basis for a 12 month
period, serving low-income communities in the area of health & human
services.
San Francisco Community HealthCorps*VISTA project and program areas include:
Chronic Disease Collaborative, Service Expansion, Outreach and Resource
Development, and Community Assessment.
Benefits
Community HealthCorps*VISTA members receive a living allowance of $11,388
per year, health insurance, child care, loan forbearance, travel
reimbursement, and the choice between an educational award ($4,725) and a
stipend ($1,200) at the completion of service term of one year.
Additionally, relocation expense reimbursement of up to $550 and local
transportation monthly pass will be provided.
