Dear Volunteers:
Project Homeless Connect breaks new ground by hosting its 17th event in the Bayview Hunters Point community. In collaboration with the United Council of Human Services, Bayview Hunters Point Foundation, the Southeast Health Center, as well as other Bayview Hunters Point neighborhood non-profit groups, Project Homeless Connect 17 will be held near 2401 Keith Street between Armstrong and Carroll streets on June 8, 2007.
It is estimated between 300-400 people are homeless in Bayview Hunters Point. This area also experiences a disproportionate number of health concerns: twenty-two percent of residents live below poverty level, and one in three people live with the daily threat of hunger. In order to better provide services to this community Project Homeless Connect is being held in Bayview Hunters Point for the first time.
PLEASE SIGN UP FOR THIS VERY SPECIAL EVENT!
