Subject: Information Session - International Health and Development Programs
Dear Sir or Madam:
Places are filling fast on the international health and development programs
run by Students Partnership Worldwide (SPW), and we invite your students and
recent alumni interested in spending a year volunteering overseas to join
our Information Session on August 8th at 9:00pm EST. The session will be
held as a FREE conference call, and provides an opportunity for them to find
out more about SPW's volunteer programs in Africa and Asia, and to talk with
returned volunteers. To register, please email
info@... or call
202.289.0914.
SPW offers 4-11 month programs in South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia,
Nepal and India for young people aged 18-28. Uniquely, over 85% of our
volunteers are young Africans and Asians working for the development of
their own countries; the remainder are international volunteers recruited
from North America, Europe and Australia. All programs include 4-6 weeks
comprehensive training in language, development theory and cultural
awareness, as well as program-specific information. SPW provides full
pre-departure and in-country support.
SPW is an international NGO and registered not-for-profit organization,
established in London in 1985. It has developed an international reputation
for its youth-led health education programs, with endorsements from the
World Bank, UNESCO, UNICEF, UNAIDS and the governments of each country it
works with.
I would appreciate it if you would forward this information to your students
and alumni - and if you would like further information, please feel free to
get in touch.
Many thanks,
Jed Millard
