Dear Pre-Health Students,

Hospice Volunteers Needed.

Maitri serves 15 people severely disabled with AIDS in need of skilled
nursing or end of life care in a residential setting. Maitri is a
truly unique place, providing quality, loving care in a beautiful,
warm environment.

Volunteers at Maitri play a vital role in resident care, providing
emotional, practical, and spiritual support; sitting at the bedside of
the sick and dying, escorting to doctor's appointments, participating
in outings, events and much more. To be a volunteer, you must
participate in our volunteer training after which we ask for a minimum
six month commitment of four hours per week.

4-day training - August 22, 23, 29 and 30, 2009.
