Hello AMSA,
If you have ever considered doing medical work abroad, please consider
joining Global Medical Brigades (GMB) at SFSU during the week of
December 27 - January 2. We will be traveling to Honduras, gaining
clinical experience, and treating 500 patients a day! Come to our
info session on FRIDAY, JULY 17 at 12:30 pm in BUS 104.
Global Medical Brigades is an entirely student-run group that
fundraises medications and works with doctors and pharmacists to
travel to Honduras and provide free medical care in the rural villages
of Honduras. The benefits of joining GMB include having leadership
roles, gaining clinical knowledge that you will actually use on over
1500 patients, shadowing doctors, traveling abroad, learning about
public health, using or learning Spanish, and having lots of fun.
It's a really unique experience that we think you will enjoy.
We are going to Honduras this winter during the week of December 27
through January 2nd. We will be gathering donations, medical
supplies, and medicine throughout the fall to bring with us to
Honduras. All members of the brigade will be paying their own travel,
room, and board expenses. However, we will fundraise together to
minimize expenses.
If you are interested, come to the Information Session FRIDAY, JULY 10
IN BUS 104 at 12:30 pm!
If you cannot make the session, but would like more information or
would like an application, please visit our website at

Thanks! Hope to see you on Friday!
