I agree somewhat with the post. I mean it's easy to pin weight gain on something
other than yourself and the most obvious change of birth control. Headaches can
also be brought on by stess, smells, diet and a whole lot of things. However DP
users are putting chemicals in their body, it isn't very natural and unnatural
side effects are a result of chemicals. I'm willing to deal with the side
effects. I did gain weight but it is so easy to pin it on depo than investage my
life style. I watch myself and try to figure out if it's me or the drug.

simple fact that
different drugs affect people in different ways. I for one was on
depo for 5 years. My only side effects up until this year were loss
of Af and weight gain of about 25lbs over the duuration that I was on
the injection. Being this year I began to have really bad headaches.
I was hospitalized in May, and the doctors came to the conclusion
that it had to be my shot because I was on nothing else and they ran
every test in the world trying to figure out the problem. The suggest
that I try going off depo to see if that effected the headaches.
Since I have been married for 7 years I decided to go off, we weren't
trying to have a baby but if we did great. My last injection was due
on 7/29. My Af returned on 9/5 and again on 10/5. Most women dont get
Af that quick and consistent. I have lost 10lbs since going off depo
and my lifestyle hasnt changed a bit. I think the theory on how fast
a womens menses returns after depo, based on an individual woman. Is
the same theory for weight gain and other side effects, based on an
individual.
