HAMS sees nothing diseased or morally wrong with recreational intoxication--what is problematic are the risks associated with careless alcohol or drug use. HAMS offers simple and pragmatic strategies for reducing the risks of recreational intoxication to self and others. HAMS offers information and support for people who choose to practice safe intoxication as well as for those choosing moderate drinking or quitting as a goal. HAMS respects the right of every individual to make his/her own choice regarding alcohol or drug use.
