THANK YOU
I love it when hair dressers keepitreal.
Have you had any experience with extensions put in useing dental
floss. There are a few Salons boasting about how undetectable it is.
I have seen some of the systems on the www. They are showing how
smalll the attachments are..............I still don't see how it truly
varies from Mini Mini Micro braids.
This system is supposed to be virtually andetectable by the eye and
touch.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks

Persoanlly , all these systems are just gimmicks...the socap machines
(except for the cold fusion type) will work with any keratin tipped hair. I
have
ben doing it for years... I buy russian hair and keratin sticks, tip the hair
myself and apply it with a amchine that cost me under 100, (with an
adjustable temp).... the adhesive & SoCAPS are easily removed one buy one with
plainold acetone or a full head can be removed with an orange remover. I
suggest
cutting off half the adhesive before application , it just creates bulk. Also
flat extensions are better for teh hair than rolled and also allow for safer
removal.
As for virgin hair for 40.00 , it was either a very small amount of hair or
not really virgin hair. Even Indian virgn hair retails for more than
that...
I also dont believe in applying them and leaving them in for three months
without maintenence. That's why so many people complain about the damage.
My clients alos boast about the growth they have seen doing them with
regular maintenence,& making them flat , light & fine.
I have been doing all types of hair enhancememnt since 1989... bonding,
dots, braids, extensions , wigs etc etc.
Cinderella extensions kill the hair because the adhesive is too strong... i
want to get soke out each month before any clumping begins and before they
have more than 1/4 in growth so that they are not pulling unnecesssaryily on
the hair...
good virgin eastern europena/russian hair can be reused because you wonnt
loose the length due to breakage like all other hair...

Another thing with Socap is that their extensions are pre bonded, so you
have to use THEIR pre-bonded hair in THEIR machine. I tried using Cinderella
hair and it didn't work. With Raccoon you can atleast use someone else's hair
because the resin comes seperately. I had a full head of Raccoon extensions
done with Virgin Hair I privately purchased from a girl at uni (SwedisH - I
bought 18" for $40). It was good to have that choice and the stylist said the
hair looked better than any of the hair they had ever bought.
That's my thoughts anyway. But the SoCap system is really simple and fairly
idiot proof. The only limitation is that you have too keep using their hair
for their machines.
when glue/resin/polymer is involved you can always be sure that removal will
hurt like hell
