Thanks to several people from groups that have donated funds to help
us during this difficult time, we have running water back, kept the
power on from 11/15 to 12/15 and bought pet food between shipments
from the company we test for.
However, the power bill due 12/15 is $1000 and we have no way to pay
it. It's high because there are 7 units here running on electric
heat, end-of-the-kitten-season-kittens, and taking care of any who
are ill; this means running electric heaters to back up the
furnaces. It was 5 degrees below zero last night--we are all ok,
but the power bill due 1/15 will be even higher. Realize we
take "the worst of the worst" as far as medical issues and
conditions they came from--because no one else will and they deserve
the best.
