Service Base Kuwait Program

The National Gulf War Resource Center (NGWRC) announces a unique and
exciting opportunity to serve members of the armed forces currently engaged
in Operation Iraqi Freedom. A limited number of Service Member/Veterans
Service Representatives will be selected for training and deployment to
Kuwait to provide direct education, training and representational services
to troops that are in the process of returning to the United States
following their duties overseas.

The service representatives will be responsible for counseling returning
service members with respect to available military and civilian health care
programs, disability compensation benefits and other kinds of assistance to
which they are entitled because of their military service, as well as
preparing applications for such benefits. The positions will be based in
Kansas City and will require at least two years of service in Kuwait over
the course of three years.

Experience in military, veterans and Social Security law and benefits is
preferred. Applicants must meet federal eligibility requirements for an
accredited Veterans Service Representative
[http://edocket.access.gpo.gov/cfr_2006/julqtr/pdf/38cfr14.629.pdf].
Previous overseas deployment, military experience, written and verbal
advocacy skills, and experience with case management databases and Microsoft
Office are assets for these positions.

Successful applicants will receive a competitive salary and benefits package
that includes health and life insurance, vacation, secured overseas housing
and transportation. To apply by e-mail, please send a resume and a brief
writing sample to resume@... no later than noon Central Time, Monday,
March 26th.
