Welcome to the Grrl Activistas mailing list!

This list will be replacing the newsletters and mass mails that you
have previously received from Grrl Activistas and will be broader in
remit. Membership of this mailing list will enable you to contact each
of the other members directly, by sending one email to a central address.

You can use this list to:

1. Share complaints about media and other organisations
2. Provide information about sexual-violence related campaigns of any
kind,
3. Discuss issues relating to sexual violence in the media
4. Share details of local events such as V-Day events and survivor
conferences (these won't be sent out to the list unless of national
relevance, but will be posted in the list database/calendar)
5. Details of new books, articles, and papers. (These won't be sent to
the list unless controversial, or as part of a discussion thread, but
will be posted in the list database/calendar)

The list will be moderated to ensure that members are not overloaded
with emails, and to make sure that mails are clearly labeled for ease
of use. Aside from this, you produce the content, and determine the
culture of the list.

The setup of the list allows you to receive individual mails direct to
your inbox, to receive a daily email digest of posts, or to view
emails at a website.

Guidelines

1. Please categorise your post in the email subject line. E.g.
Complaint/Campaign/Discussion
2. Please use plain text, with no fancy fonts (Arial counts as a fancy
font!), colors, stationery, etc. It takes time to remove these
attributes from your mail, and this must be done or digest readers
will not be able to view them.
3. Please spell-check your posts, and avoid abbreviations.
4. This is not a survivor support list so posts don't have to have
trigger warnings, but please indicate where posts contain sexually
explicit material. You can do this with an *e* or *explicit*.
5. If you are posting about an organisation that you would like your
fellow members to write to, please include contact details with your
original mail.

Thank you, and welcome to the list.
