Ditto.
And I'm sorry to drag in one more morbid issue but the film "Talk
to Her" (which Writer/Director Almodovar won for best screenplay)
is a story about a guy who rapes a woman while she's in a coma,
after stalking her. The film goes to extraordinary lengths to present
the idea that the rapist is in "love" with his victim, and get this,
the rape results in a pregnancy/miscarriage that wakes her out of the
coma and then she's shown as being all happy. I'm serious. The
movie apologizes for a rapist and more distubinglyy, presents the
idea that rape is helpful to women. The ongoing, neverending *visual*
rape of the victim in the film as well, is off the charts. But
that's, no doubt, why a lot of people loved it, the gratuitous scenes
of a young, beautiful woman, posed for the viewer to *consume*. It's
extremely manipulative and sick.

I have a lot of ideas about actions on that one, but it's honestly
upsetting me too much right now.
Here's a great article to forward on Eminem's hate speak:

On Polanski, I used to send this out to inform:

Although, now I don't know how to feel about the new "smoking gun"
testimony of his victim or how she feels about that being public.
Also, Polanski exploited more youth, including Natassja Kinski at 15
(different reports say it was before or after the rape conviction)
and he tried to blame his 13 year old victim for the assault:

I found most painful seeing Meryl Streep stand up to applaud him....
On a positive note I want to pass along the site for Protect. A new
children's rights lobby and Polanski's worst nightmare:

take very good care everyone,
